I THINK JOANIE LOVES CHACHI SHOULD'VE REPLACED HAPPY DAYS IN THE TUESDAY 8:00 PM TIMESLOT INSTEAD OF MOVING IT TO THURSDAY NIGHTS.HAPPY DAYS WAS TIRED AND JOANIE LOVES CHACHI WAS NEW AND FRESH.IT WOULD'VE BEEN NICE TO HAVE SOME OF THE HAPPY DAYS CAST INCLUDING RICHIE GUEST STAR FROM TIME TO TIME.IT COULD'VE BEEN A SITCOM CLASSIC ON NICK AT NITE.

I don't know about it replacing Happy Days in 1982, but I think Joanie Loves Chachi would have had a better chance of success if it started in 1984 after Happy Days ended as a continuation series..

I THOUGHT HAPPY DAYS WITHOUT JOANIE AND CHACHI AND ESPECIALLY RICHIE! WAS PAST ITS PRIME.JOANIE LOVES CHACHI WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT FOR THE TUESDAY NIGHT 8:OO PM.

I must confess that I"ve never watched JLC. My mother said that she tried watching it whenit came out, but became bored with it. She said that it just didn't have the same spark without the other Happy Days cast members playing along with them.

I agree that it should have waited until after HD stopped airing. It may have been more popular as a continuation. And Happy Days started to lose it's appeal to me without Joanie being one of the lead characters.

I agree aLso. The fact that JLC started in 1982, it was up against Happy Days and we all know that HD still had the Fonz and JLC had Joanie and Chachi which means the show didn't have a chance. It really would have more sense to have JLC debut after HD was over.

I don't know about replaced "Happy Days." But it could have replaced the vacating "Laverne & Shirley" in 1983.
