Scoobiedoo30 08-06-2007, 02:56 PM what Joint Contract means
JulieSomoski 08-06-2007, 04:39 PM I think they mean they were all acquired under the same contract.
Scoobiedoo30 08-06-2007, 04:55 PM thanks for the help
freshprinceofLA 08-06-2007, 04:59 PM No! i can't believe Bonanza is there till 2012! I can't stand that show
JulieSomoski 08-06-2007, 05:11 PM No! i can't believe Bonanza is there till 2012! I can't stand that show
It was just renewed.
Scoobiedoo30 08-06-2007, 05:45 PM I thinkl M*A*S*H will get renewed
JulieSomoski 08-06-2007, 06:43 PM I thinkl M*A*S*H will get renewed
Gunsmoke expires the same time as MASH, but I'm sure that'll get renewed as well.
TVFactFan 08-06-2007, 06:55 PM It was just renewed.
It is so strange that these shows don't expire no time soon and are all complete on DVD
Three's Company

TVFactFan 08-06-2007, 07:03 PM Not Everybody Want to Buy dvds
I don't know why not if the DVD's have unseen footage
Scoobiedoo30 08-06-2007, 07:10 PM I think Three's Company just got renewed
USATVFAN 08-06-2007, 07:14 PM Not Everybody Has Enough Money To buy 3-6 Tv Boxsets A Month
TVFactFan 08-06-2007, 07:15 PM Not Everybody Has Enough Money To buy 3-6 Tv Boxsets A Month
You buy one at a time like I do. I don't have the money to buy 6 TV boxsets at one time either
USATVFAN 08-06-2007, 07:19 PM i have never bought 6 boxsets at one time.
anyway Some People Just Don't Have The Money Or The Time.
TVFactFan 08-06-2007, 07:21 PM i have never bought 6 boxsets at one time.

Some boxsets are $19.00 so I'm not sure I know what you mean. Now if you are talking about teenagers then I may agree. Defintely not a working adult
JulieSomoski 08-06-2007, 07:23 PM Some boxsets are $19.00 so I'm not sure I know what you mean. Now if you are talking about teenagers then I may agree. Defintely not a working adult
I usually save up enough money each month for the box sets Ineed, just so I"m not scrambling around looking for money at the last minute.
What's Happening expires in October and is not being renewed...
I'm SO sick of Sanford and Son!!!!:rolleyes:
treky 08-07-2007, 01:56 AM Some boxsets are $19.00 so I'm not sure I know what you mean. Now if you are talking about teenagers then I may agree. Defintely not a working adult
well; what about people who are unemployed and on a fixed income? I have a friend who's like that.
USATVFAN 08-07-2007, 10:33 AM Good Point I Agree With You Treky.
TVFactFan 08-07-2007, 11:03 AM well; what about people who are unemployed and on a fixed income? I have a friend who's like that.
Well that's a silly question because if you are unemployed the last thing on someone's mind should be a DVD boxset-lol Only Food and Bills

Good one :rotflmao:
USATVFAN 08-07-2007, 11:19 AM Okay Let Stay On Topic.
TVFactFan 08-07-2007, 11:34 AM I wish Sanford and Son, Three's Company, and Good Times contracts expired Tonight and was replaced with
Chico and The Man
Welcome Back Kotter
Rhoda
I wish those three would leave too, or at least be reduced. They're on all the time, especially Good Times and Sanford and Son. Sanford and Son is getting very OLD and boring. Maybe they'll play it so much the ratings will drop

Yes I agree, and GT is beyond old and boring.
storrs19 08-07-2007, 12:32 PM I have to agree with Solomon. They should concentrate more on shows that are not on dvd. MASH is also complete on dvd as well. I usually buy 2 or 3 sets a month if there are enough out there of shows l like. I really wish they would bring back MTM, Rhoda, and Bob Newhart since they are not on dvd or will not be completed on dvd (with Fox anyway). But then, I never watch TVLand anymore so I guess it really doesn't matter to me.

You probably would watch the channel again if they added something new and got rid of the old crap-lol
JulieSomoski 08-07-2007, 05:02 PM I'm sure we all here could do without Sanford and Son/Good Times for awhile. They've been taking over primetime for years now. I don't mind watching Three's Company still, though. It's not like it's on as much as the 2 other shows are.

Yeah I was watching TC last night and was not happy to see it come to an end for GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!!
JulieSomoski 08-07-2007, 05:21 PM Three's Company is one show I can watch on TV, eve nthough I own it all on DVD.
JulieSomoski 08-07-2007, 05:21 PM Yeah I was watching TC last night and was not happy to see it come to an end for GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!!
I wonder how that and S&S are so popular. These 2 are like the only Sony shows ever to be completely out on DVD, and yet they're on TVLand every day. Were they even that popular originally?

Originally, GT was a INSTANT hit but faded away after season two. S&S was popular during it's original run and didn't fade off until it's last season.
USATVFAN 08-07-2007, 06:17 PM I Thought Good Times Was One Of Your Favorite Shows?
TVFactFan 08-07-2007, 06:23 PM I Thought Good Times Was One Of Your Favorite Shows?
It is but it's been on TBS for 2 years, then TV Land, and it's on TV one and not only that it's complete on DVD so I have defintely seen enough of Good Times. It's Time for me to give other shows a chance.

I don't remember it being on TBS at all. Do you know exactly when it was on?
I just realized I potsted like 8 times the same post. My server has been down lately, and somehow I must have cliked he post a buttion a few too many times. Sorry!

From the summer of 2002 to early 2003. When it was on TBS in the summer of 2002, that was my first time seeing it again since 1989 so I made sure I caught it all the Time

2002 is pretty recent for an older show like Good Times. Too bad TBS still doesn't air the classics in favor of the modern stuff they air now, like Steve Harvey and Yes, Dear.
Classicshowsgurl15 08-07-2007, 07:52 PM What's Happening expires in October and is not being renewed...
I'm SO sick of Sanford and Son!!!!:rolleyes:
I'm sick of Sanford and Son too. I hate What's Happening.

I agree. I like Three's Company more than Good Times and Sanford and Son and wish that they were taken off. They pretty much have all 70s shows on TVLand. I mean there is nothing wrong with that because there are alot of good 70s shows, but they should put some 60s shows on there too and maybe some 80s shows.
Classicshowsgurl15 08-07-2007, 08:05 PM It is but it's been on TBS for 2 years, then TV Land, and it's on TV one and not only that it's complete on DVD so I have defintely seen enough of Good Times. It's Time for me to give other shows a chance.
Yeah, thats like with Full House. Its on Nick at Nite and its also on Abc family everyday too. I like to give other shows a chance too.
Scoobiedoo30 08-08-2007, 02:28 PM Listen I must have got that Hight way to heaven was on TV Land any plans on Returning it to the schedule since it TV Land renewsed until June of 2008
TKMetal 08-13-2007, 01:16 AM Is it me, or was there a change in the Night Court contract?
dawsongirl 08-13-2007, 03:09 AM I have to agree with Solomon. They should concentrate more on shows that are not on dvd.
I agree as well. Honestly, it seems to me that if a person likes a show well enough to watch it every time it's on, they'll buy the DVDs anyway. Save up, buy used, buy new...whatever.
Now maybe putting on a show that has their DVD season sets stalled at season 1 or 2 would be good to get them to release further seasons.
dawsongirl 08-13-2007, 03:12 AM Do they even show Night Court still?
Pavan 08-13-2007, 09:31 AM Night Court is licensed until June 2010.
I bet we'll never see that one again, given how it failed them...
Pavan 08-13-2007, 10:16 AM I think we will see it at some point in the mornings. It didn't do that bad for them. It lasted more than a few months between 11pm-1am.
JulieSomoski 08-13-2007, 11:19 AM I think we will see it at some point in the mornings. It didn't do that bad for them. It lasted more than a few months between 11pm-1am.
Didn't it have a morning minimarathon then? I remember watching it between then, but for the most part, I remember it Sundays at like 9am.
Scoobiedoo30 08-13-2007, 11:31 AM If and when TV Land does bring Night Court Back I hope they air Night Court at 11:30 am CT Time
JulieSomoski 08-13-2007, 11:34 AM If and when TV Land does bring Night Court Back I hope they air Night Court at 11:30 am CT Time
Why then?
USATVFAN 08-13-2007, 11:50 AM Correct Me If I am Wong But I Believe The Jeffersons Is The Last Tv Show
That Tv Land Added In The Last year and 6 Months That Is Still On The Schedule.
Pavan 08-13-2007, 11:59 AM Didn't it have a morning minimarathon then? I remember watching it between then, but for the most part, I remember it Sundays at like 9am.
I remember it airing weeknights at like 11:30pm, then it moved to 12:30am a few months later.
I think it was then moved to that mid-day 'comedy block' with Cheers, Wings, and WH!!, then that was cut, it was sent to Saturday or Sunday mornings, then dropped entirely.
Scoobiedoo30 08-13-2007, 12:30 PM Because I am just getting up at 11:30 am CT Time
TKMetal 08-13-2007, 08:39 PM Night Court is licensed until June 2010.
That's what I thought.
Buffyboy323 08-14-2007, 04:39 AM 2002 is pretty recent for an older show like Good Times. Too bad TBS still doesn't air the classics in favor of the modern stuff they air now, like Steve Harvey and Yes, Dear.
I agree...BTW, I believe Good Times used to come on at 5:30am, right before Mama`s Family.
Those 2 were the last of the 1970`s/1980`s shows to air on TBS.
TVFactFan 08-15-2007, 06:30 PM I agree...BTW, I believe Good Times used to come on at 5:30am, right before Mama`s Family.

Yup at tha time GT was on TBS, i hadn't seen the show since 1990. So it was defintely a Rediscovery

As far as I'm cercern, they can cancel all of the shows that are up in 2008.I am beyound sick and tried of them! The exception are the shows that had limited runs, but show like I LOVE LUCY,ADDAMS FAMILY,CHEERS,GOOD TIMES,GUNSMOKE,THE MUNSTERS,andWINGS should go far,far away and never come back.If it was up to me and I was V.P. of this network, all contracts would be up by the end of this year and I would clean house!

I'm a Three's Company Fan but 2013 is way too long for the show to be under contract on TVLand
Scoobiedoo30 08-16-2007, 04:02 PM How long is 2013 and when did Three's Company come to TV Land

How could you even mention shows like Wings, Cheers, and I Love Lucy? Wings is nowhere on the lineup, Cheers airs early mornings, and I Love Lucy is just now getting the treatment it deserves on this network. The other shows I could care less about, considering they have been reran to the ground.

Whoa there! I like all of those shows except Gunsmoke. Do whatever you want to that show, but leave the rest be.
If I were V.P. of TV Land, I'd take a couple of polls... or maybe a bunch of them to see what the people wanted. I think there'd be a whole lot more variety that way, but that's just me.

Pavan 08-17-2007, 04:38 PM Then when they air those, you'll have something to complain about. Constant complaints from you rodwayne.

FriendsSome of these shows haven't had a fair run like KNIGHTRIDER,MIAMI VICE,THE A TEAM,WHAT'S HAPPENING,BENSON,while I will re-rant,shows like BONANZA,GUNSMOKE,I LOVE LUCY,SANDFORD AND SON,GOOD TIMES have more than ran their course.Gee,how long is these shows suppose to run anyway?!?I say let them run three full cycles, then move on;no shows that debut after 1990;no realitly;made for T.V. movies, not run into the ground that been showed 1000000000000 times, and those old Saturday morning live action shows just to have something to laugh at.Of course,I won't hold my breath waiting for them to do the right thing!
