Im thinking what was the big fuss about the picture quality? It is actually quite good, as for the music changes, did it really effect your viewing of the dvd? It was 32 years ago, how many of you remember song by song? I would gladly spend money on the last 9 season, with the same picture quality and music ommisions.

Only one bad review puts hundreds of people off purchasing the set so i thank you all for putting season 3 in jeopardy of coming out.

I don't remember the songs from 30 years ago, but I do remember them from the countless times I've heard them on TV Land during the last five years. To me, it's not the point that the replacement songs sound okay - it's that what I'm watching is not 100 percent original.

As for the picture quality, there are several points in several episodes where the picture is very "fuzzy." Off the top of my head, "Big Money" was particularly bad. Watch the scene where Richie and Howard are talking in Richie's room about whether or not Richie should answer the big-money question. The picture is fine for awhile but gets bad, suddenly, on a cut to Richie. There are other instances, but that's one example.

Yea you know most of the dvd seemed ok to me the picture quality maybe off but its not enough for me to write a letter complaining about it. Yea like most of you I'm just happy that season 2 finally came out!

I don't mind them changing the opening song as much as I mind them putting the strange music in place of the 50's songs we knew and loved. They could easily have found other songs from that era that would have fit and weren't issues as far as copyright goes. I think that was the problem. I appreciate the missing scenes that I haven't seen since the shows aired.
