Bill S. 08-05-2007, 12:36 AM . *ClassicPinUp* 08-05-2007, 02:51 PM I had a Honeymooner related dream a long, long time ago but I’ll never forget it because in this dream I could actually feel and smell things around me (never really had a dream like that before). Anyway, it started out with me in Jackie’s dressing room and he was going over something with me but all I could really hear was him saying “does that sound okay, baby?” As we were talking there was someone outside screaming for Jackie and he left.. few seconds later “Bullets” Durgom walks in and was chatting with me a little.. than he leaves. Jackie comes back and says “oh, you met bullets?” In my dream I remember saying “yes, but I didn’t care for him. He’s far to short and he thinks he’s something special” as I’m saying this Jackie is writing and giggling.. when I asked what he was doing he said “writing this all down that was too funny to forget.”…end that part of the dream… We’re on stage in the Kramden’s apartment (I guess I was filling in as Trixie or something because Joyce was no where to be seen) we were all sitting at the table when there was a knock at the door.. “Ralph” answers it and in walks a whole bunch of big names (some I’m a major fan of so I guess that’s why they were in my dream as well) the Dorsey brothers, Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Desi Arnaz and Lucy. Right away Audrey told Jackie she was going to leave with Humphrey and I followed by telling him I would be leaving with Frank and Dean.. he just said “don’t worry Art and I can carry the show.” For whatever reason Audrey and I stopped in Jackie’s dressing room on the way out and crossed off November 9th and when I looked at the year it said “1953.” –I have no idea if any episodes where filmed that day- I just thought the date thing was odd- That was it. Nothing strange really happened except Jackie went out on stage in his nice clothes instead of dressing up as Ralph the bus driver. Oh, and Audrey and I leaving in the middle of a show. Everything else was really –for a dream- normal. *ClassicPinUp* 08-05-2007, 04:15 PM Was your dream in black & white or in color? The dream was in color. I don't think I've ever had a black and white dream...sounds kind of neat. :) *ClassicPinUp* 08-05-2007, 04:16 PM Oh, and as for the date you mentioned...no episodes aired on November 9th, 1953. "Champagne & Caviar" aired on November 7th, followed by "Letter To The Boss" on the 14th. Thanks! That date always made me wonder but I guess it was just one of those crazy dream things lol. AllThingsNancy 08-06-2007, 04:25 AM It's been awhile since I've 'guested' in a Honeymooners dream. But I wouldn't be a bit suprised if some time soon it will happen. Since hubby axed the cable, I've been watching The Honeymooners at least twice a day (thank God for video tape). LOL I gotta have some entertainment while I eat!!! Anyway, I know that I've dreamt that Alice was my aunt. And in this one dream I vaguely remember that she was either stressed or had a headache. Gee, she was married to Ralph Kramden, so who'd expect? I remember her sitting at the table in their sparse little kitchen and I offered to give her a neck rub to help her feel better. Which she was thankful for, but what was so totally weird is that...she and my surroundings were black & white, but yet myself and my hands were in color. When I touched her, she was warm and very human, just all black & white. I really don't remember much else, except having the feeling that I was welcome there and in a sense loved or else I wouldn't have been there. Now that I think back about it, this is probably the dream that was responsible for my starting to write Christmas Moon. Most of my stories usually start because of a dream or a single photograph that seems to tell a story in itself. Anyway...now that I've read this topic, it makes me anxious to go back to sleep as soon as I get my husband's happy butt off to work! LOL *ClassicPinUp* 08-08-2007, 04:25 PM she and my surroundings were black & white, but yet myself and my hands were in color. When I touched her, she was warm and very human, just all black & white. That reminds me of the movie Pleasantville when some people are still in black and white and others are in color. :D *ClassicPinUp* 08-08-2007, 04:44 PM I was just thinking that myself, good call. That same type of effect was used in Sin City as well. I watched Pleasantville on TVLand a few weeks ago when they kept playing it over and over...I had forgotten that as he's flipping through the channels you see the opening for The Honeymooners and I Love Lucy. The Great One 08-08-2007, 04:49 PM Wow! Some of you have had some awesome detailed dreams. Hopefully soon I can add my own story. :) The Great One 08-09-2007, 08:26 PM Oh yeah, I forgot about that part too. What a coincidence. Yeah, be sure to let us know if you do! Nice to see you back BTW. Bill S. I thank you for your kind words! :) |
