After the horrible weather we've had this week here in the NYC area (which I had to work in) I am doing as little as possible outside.

I was supposed to go to a Staten Island Yankees game tonight, but I told my friends to go on without me. I need air conditioning!

Not much planned this weekend. I have a few new design projects to work on and I have to finish them by tomorrow night.

Sunday I'm going to a movie with a ladyfriend. I'm not going to say which movie, because I'm embarrased.

;)

I'm going to do as much swimming as humanly possible this weekend, but not today. Thunder, lightning...? No way!

Tomorrow is a busy day for us.

We have an early meeting tomorrow for our son regarding the soccer team we signed him up for.

Then, we are going to go "tasting" at some caterers for my step-daughter's wedding. That should be fun.

Then at 4pm we are going to a wedding and the reception/dance afterwards. So, it will be a pretty busy day on Saturday.

Not much I know of. I just moved to the Twin Cities metro area on Wednesday, so I guess I'll be finishing up my unpacking... I haven't got a whole lot left to unpack now, so it's all good. I'm ~20 minutes south of Minneapolis, btw.

I'm thinking I'll probably see my brother tonight. Sometime this weekend I might go to the IKEA in Bloomington (across the street from the Mall of America, I think) to pick up a desk and possibly a TV stand, and that's all I've got planned. This week has been total chaos for me, and I plan on chilling this weekend. :)

I've been cleaning for the last four hours straight and prepping up the food/snacks I am providing for my game night in two more hours! Yikes! I've gotta start baking the chicken soon! I am expecting a total of seven people (four adults, three children) who RSVPed a "yes", so I know they are coming for sure. I am not sure about the other three who said "maybe."

Sometimes it seems as if it takes years for the weekend to come but that's probably because I'm being bored out of my mind in summer school But I sure am glad that the weekend is here!!

Today I will probably just relax dvd's, tv, and maybe a book and studying no partying for me tonight.

My Father in law is getting out of the rehab center, so we are having a nice little BBQ for him. Other than that, just trying to stay cool.

I'm really sleepy today from staying up until 5 a.m. watching over my cat (I think I got about 3 hours of sleep before I called the vet), so I'm basically done for the night. I worked 'til 6, went to my Grandma's for a family dinner, and am now gonna wash up and get ready to watch t.v. and conk out.

Tomorrow I have to work from 2:30-10, as usual. I'm calling the vet first thing in the morning to see how Brody is doing.

Sunday, I'm supposed to be going out with my friend Kristen for some lunch and some exhibit they have going on at a local museum near us. I'm sure we'll walk the track or find something else to do afterwards.

Very low-key weekend...It's too hot and I'm too stressed to do much else.

This Sunday I'm going to Church for the first time in awhile with my friend Donna, and her friends Tammy and Al. I've been wanting to go back to Church for awhile but just hadn't had anyone invite me, so I'm pretty excited about it. After Church were going rafting again like we did last week down at the Clackamas River. It's about a 10 mile deal, and I had a total blast last week. Last week I was totally unprepared and wasn't feeling well at all, but still managed to have a great time, so this time being prepared, and knowing what to expect, I know it will be even better. Should be a fun weekend!!

Brian, I'm very glad to hear that your father-in-law is on the mend. You were due for some good news after losing your grandfather last week.

Again, my deepest condolences on your loss. :( Your grandfather is out of pain and with God now.

Thanks Janice, this has been a real suckfest of a year, but my father in law is improving which is good news.

Last night's game night was awesome! I just felt sad in the beginning for a co-worker. She kinda felt left out because the other three of us have known each other since middle school, but I am glad it went a little more comfortably later on.

I am attending a BBQ this evening after I get off work! I am on my way to preparing the tuna pasta salad I was going to make last Sunday. I will do it today, instead. I'll have to cook the pasta and prep the salad before I go to work since the BBQ is at 6 p.m. I get off work at 5 p.m. I'd only have time to swing by and pick up the salad and then head off to the BBQ. It should be fun! I  homemade burgers and dogs! Yum!

BRAD..I hope you have a fantastic time at church, and have a blessed weekend in general:)

Mean while, this Sunday, I am thinking of seeing Jordis from ROCKSTAR INXS; whom, is performing at the Cat Club (in West Hollywood) this Sunday:)

Awww, thanks sooooooo much Tara!!! :D Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. The only reason I haven't been to Church in so long, is because I never had an invite. It's kind of ackward, (especially for someone with my shy personality) to just enter any kind of group where relationships have already been established. Makes me feel like an outsider trying to prove something. But by going with someone who has been a part of that Church's family for years, makes it much more comfortable, and less ackward. I even talked my mom into going with us, so now I'm even more excited about it!! Church is cool!!

I hope you as well have a blessed weekend, and I hope you have a great time at the show if you do decide to go. I know it's gonna be one heck of a party if the Hollywood Rock Chic attends!!! ;)

Well, I hope that you met a lot of people, that will become friends in Church:)

Ha ha ha...:p I am probably going to go by myself, which is fine, even though I am shy person, too. I just do not care, if I want to see a band, etc. I will gather up the courage and just do it!!!; even, though I feel terribly self-conscious when I am at a bar alone...

I hope that you enjoy the band, Tara. I remember telling you about the band I saw that did a cover of a couple of Led Zeppelin songs and how terrible they were. I hope the band you will be seeing will be better than the one I saw.

I had a good time today :) My friend Kristen and I went to the Long Island museum where they were having a 60's Motown exhibit. We put on all these 60's inspired gowns and took pictures :D Then we went to a kareoke party at the same museum (anyone could sing anything from the 50's, 60's, or 70's). It was pretty fun and definitely different :)

Afterwards, we got some healthy wraps and smoothies from Strawberry Fields :liplick:

Wow yesterday was a busy day for milestones in sports with Bonds 755th and A-rods 500th home runs. But as for me I've just been relaxing and studying. Damn on monday back to the old grind of summer school but there is 2 more weeks left then I can finally enjoy the rest of my summer. Next week looks to be important I gotta pass a couple of tests in summer school and    the hard part on thursday I take my drivers test for my permit!!!
ENJOY THE REST OF THE WEEK!
