The description of episode 14 confuses me. DId Joanie and Chachi elope? Did they annul there marriage in the end?

I don't think Joanie and Chachi eloped, I think that they were caught before they actually got eloped. I might be wrong
though I've never seen the show.

You can elope and not end up being married for many reasons, 'eloping' does not equal marriage always..

I seem to vaguely remember this episode. I believe Joanie's parents *thought* Joanie and Chachi eloped, but they hadn't gone through with it yet. I think that during the end of the episode as they were making their plans they were caught and were convinced to not go through with it.

I vaguely remember that episode too, what I THINK happened was someone Joanie and Chachi knew was eloping and they were either going to be part of the wedding or to try and stop it. I kinda want to say it was Jenny Piccolo, but I'm not sure. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

I have the episode on tape, and what happened was Joanie and Chachi were sneaking out in the middle of the night to elope, and told Annette to give them an hour and then tell Al and Louisa. They had to sneak back because Chachi forgot his birth certificate, and they were intercepted by Al who subtly talked them out of it.
