I'm looking for recruits for a brand new group for Gleason Alumni actress, Audrey Meadows, on yahoo. The url is:

http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/audreymeadows/

Also, if anyone is interested in offering input/insight/encouragement for a Christmas story (loosely based on The Honeymooners and the actors/actresses that were the key players) that is in the works, please email me at: honeymooners@jack-lord.com. I've been working on this story for nearly 15 years and would love to have it done in time for Christmas of this year.

A little background on me: I grew up watching Gleason's 'American Scene Magazine' and my dad always collected his music (still does!). I became a full-fledged Honeymooners fan when 'The Lost 75' surfaced in 1985. Later when I met and married my husband, he, too was a Honeymooners fan, but knew nothing of Gleason's music. He quickly became a fan of that as well and would occassionally play an upright bass along with my dad's old vinyl albums.

My rekindled interest in The Honeymooners of late, is thanks to my husband having cable disconnected. At first I was upset, but then I began pulling out old videos and discovered some very dear friends that I hadn't seen in awhile, namely The Kramdens and the Nortons. Also, thanks to MySpace I found some great pals named Charlie, Ralphie and 'Brother Norton.' All have been very friendly and been a wonderful diversion while I'm going through an 'uncertain' time with my health.

Enough of my rambling...if you are interested in either the Audrey group, the Christmas story or both, please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from you!

Take care,
Carol

Your Christmas story idea sounds interesting. Would you be willing to share more details on this project? Since you've been working on it for 15 years it must be a major work-in-progress and it makes me curious. :)

Yes, of course, I'd be willing to share. I have a Yahoogroup for the project, that you can locate and join to get more info. There isn't much to it YET, I have three 'meaty' scenes, but need insight/encouragement/direction where to go with it. I always break it out at the holidays, read over it, maybe write a line or two and then nothing happens. Since I've rekindled my interest in 'The Honeymooners' and have made a couple new friends thanks to the show, I would like to finish the project and put it to rest.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas.

Sounds good to me. If your Yahoogroup is a type of chat room then at what time do the members meet there?

No, you'll have to join and read the archives to get to the first installment. I don't think that Yahoogroups have the option for group chat anymore.

But I still welcome your input and feedback.

Carol
