i need some advice. i am currently awaiting the results of my media arts/journalism course from the university- hoping that i get a good mark and was wondering whether it would be a good idea to go back to college but on a part-time basis. the reason being the media industry is not only a very competitive industry to get into, but also it is dependent on practical skills, particuarly when it comes to tv production which i am keen to get into. now whilst, i was on my media arts major i didn't do any production work such as film making, camera work, editing, scriptwriting. my media arts course was primarily theoretical and so i had to do a lot of writing, as well as thinking. i feel that my practical skills, especially in video production need to be revisited again because it haven't used any filming equipment since 4 years ago. i am also looking for work outside the media field and so i will be keeping my options fully open. i would particuarly like to hear from those- regardless of the degree you took up in university/college- who went back to college, part-time a couple of years later as mature students in say their 30s, 40s or older, after they had graduated with honours. many thanks guys
