I remember watching ALF as a kid (I had a bunch of the toys, too!), and I recently downloaded a few eps. to see if I still liked it, and I DO. So now I've bought S1-3 on DVD and love them. I plan to buy S4 ASAP. I guess I had forgotten (or not realized, since I was so young) how funny this show is.

Anybody else out there still watch? I thought maybe I'd try starting up some discussion, so I don't feel like I'm the only one. LOL I'll try to post some fave quotes or something to liven the place up.

I watch "Alf" again now, even though the first half of the show was better than the later half. And I remember my mother watching the show, when it was in its original run in Sweden (late 80s, early 90s). Mum even told me about him being from the planet of Melmac. I even remember getting a little plastic Alf doll, that had candy in it, which was shaped like little cats. (It was like you were opening Alf up and eating the cats he had eaten.)

I do, too. I think it could do really well on ABC Family or even N@N. I know they had it very breifly a few years ago.

I'm just starting to watch Disc 2 of Season 4. Anybody know if Jake is seen or mentioned in this season at all? So far, I haven't seen him. He was one of my fave characters.

I think there was less of him in that season, yes.

Fortuneately, we got a channel called TV4 Komedi over here in Sweden last fall. Think of it as our Nick@Nite or ABC Family. They show "Alf", "The Cosby show" and "Family Matters", plus a lot of others, that I watch as often, like "The golden girls", "Cheers", "Cybill", "Rheba" etc etc....

Do you think Alf would do good on TV Land

ALF is a good, fun, family show and is funny at the same time. At first Willie kind of annoyed me as a character with his endless stuttering and what have you, but now that I've been a fan of ALF for a while I realize it was all part of the charm.
