I have to say I'm pretty happy with the extras Sony included on the DVDs. It was great to hear the comments on favorite first season episodes as well as just see Guillaume and Noble again (who, by the way, still look pretty good for their ages!) and Tony Thomas added a lot of great insight and information. I thought the video introduction by Robert Guillaume was a great idea and a nice touch. :)

The only thing I would have added would be a blooper reel (let's keep our fingers crossed for Season 2)! :D

I too wish for out-takes. Ah, well.

I must say I was struck by what JN said about the audience; I didn't get the exact quote, but it made me go "hmm" with the new perspective/idea.

You mean the comment he made about the audience being an "extra character"? He's absolutely right about that. The reaction of the audience really adds to the show. I went to a "Frasier" taping back in 2000 and they really urge the audience to participate and laugh enthusiastically along with the show. It was a great experience. :D

I liked the fact that Sony decided to add extras instead of just a barebones release. I wish more cast members would've been interviewed (especially Missy Gold and Caroline McWilliams, who have long since left show business) and a few episode commentaries would've been nice, but maybe we'll get those for Season 2. James Noble is 85!? He looks so much younger! God bless him - and he seems like such a sweet man. Lisa, have you been able to contact him yet?

I did e-mail him right after the DVD was released to tell him "thanks" for participating in the extras and that he looks great. I never did get a reply though, so I have no idea if he even read it or not. I'm guessing he probably did but just isn't the type to respond to people he doesn't know personally. That's ok with me; I mean, it would have been nice but with all the weird "stalker" types out there, I guess I can't completely blame him.

Oh and you're right. He does look younger than 85. I hope I look as well if I live that long!
