Hi everybody,
Here in Italy, Boing TV Network (a commercial network dedicated to shows for children and teens) aired the full "Diff'rent Strokes" since last February, 2007, at 02.35pm, after "The Prince of Bel-Air", aired at 02.10pm. Except for the episodes never dubbed in italian (about 10-12 episodes at all), the series was totally aired: now, the season 5 is ended, and season 6 is going to be aired. Anyway, there's an oddity: the two-part episode "Bìcycle Man", dubbed in italian and already aired on other italian tv networks in the past, was aired ... but just the first part! If you read the TV guide, the second part was programmed to be aired the day after... instead, the series normally continued with the following episode ("Family On Ice").
I don't want to think to a mistake made by TV operators. Is it a ban? Maybe was it censored, since someone guessed that episode was not easily understandable for children? But it's not the only one: other episodes are difficult for young people too, in the Diff'rent Strokes series and in other series too.
Also, you should know, the italian censorship is not so severe in other situations, even when the children use to watch television by theirselves.
So, what's the reason?
Regards
