JERRY Seinfeld is trying to turn his "Letters From a Nut" best-selling books into a TV series - again.
Seinfeld is working with Lionsgate five years after a planned ABC project crashed-and-burned.
"Nut" is a collection of prank letters "written" by Ted L. Nancy - assumed to be a pen name for Seinfeld (who wrote the books' introductions) and his pal Barry Marder.
Five years ago after ABC ordered a half-hour sitcom pilot that never got made, Nancy/Marder/Seinfeld are trying again, teaming with Lionsgate Television, "Laguna Beach" producers Go Go Luckey and Bayonne Entertainment.
This time around, the new project will be a non-scripted comedy playing off the content of the books - filled with Nancy's prank letters to real companies, celebs and politicos.
