Hey everybody...

My names Dan, im from Essex, England.

Me and my mate Lee, from Liverpool - are both big Brookside fans. We really miss the show and wish it was still on air. Tis a big shame Channel4 axed it back in 2003...

Anywayz... i want to let you all know about a petition me and my friend have going, called Bring Back Brookside on DVD. The website is www.brookside.tk - please if you have a minute go to the site and sign your name...
We are currently at over 1,700 signatures... trying our best to get to as many Brookside fans out there and people who may have watched it and liked it... mostly the people signing are from Liverpool but we are trying to get to as many different people and groups of people out there, hence me posting here.

Im sure some of you here would of seen an episode of it, or maybe watched it all the time... Brookside was an ace show, if you remember back.... all the storylines it did, it did most of the big stories first, it did stories that the other soaps were too scared to touch!

We would love to get it released on DVD, like some best-of box sets... or even gradually releasing all of Brookside, year by year. would be amazing! Sadly Brookside isnt repeated on tv at all, not on normal tv or sky, nothing! Thats why we want it on dvd so bad.

We are doing really well, but we want more signatures! So please if you can spare a second to sign your name on the website www.brookside.tk - tell you family and friends, pass it on to anybody you may know that used to watch it and would probabaly sign it...

So far weve been in the Liverpool echo, about 3 times, the Liverpool daily post... Lee has been on the radio and done a couple different chats/interviews on the radio. We got a little mention in the daily star a couple weeks back ,it was only a little soap bubble, not a full fledged article - but it all helps. Dean Sullivan, the man that played Jimmy Corkhill... he himself has heard about what were doing and he has signed the petition... he liked what we were upto so much he invited us to hi birthday party about a month back, it was great - we got to meet several of the cast from Brookside, people like Sinbad... Tinhead.... Nicky Shadwick...but the best one was Phil Redmond, the guy himself, he created Brookside and is MR Brookside, so to speak lol. He thinks the petition is great and he said if we keep it up who knows maybe we could get it on dvd... so he knows and hes keeping an eye...!

Anyway,

Thanks for reading, and the more that sign it the better, we have a real chance of getting the show on DVD if we get enough signatures!

Dan.
