It says Alda was on a Boston Talk Show as a guest in the 1980's. The show was Good Day. Alda mentioned the entire Mash crew was totally scared of guest Michael Maguire (who played a Marine Col. in the ep where the guy wants to go home to his mother before she's deported). Maguire had previously been on Dark Shadows (as the head of Judah Zachary). Frighteneing guy this Maguire must be!

I really have only seen him on Cheers as Professor Sumner Sloan aside from his M*A*S*H role and in the Cheers role he wasn't scary. I didn't like his character though because he was a pompous jerk. It's interesting to see what he's all done on TV because I didn't know he went way back.

Wayne Rogers was very lucky to miss out on the bad, scarey appearance of Maguire! So was Burghoff! But they had probably bad luck earlier on Mash when a guest came on who had also been on DS. I think it was the third season ep when they were getting bombed and Radar's on the phone with that guy telling him they're getting wiped out. If I remember right that guy was a DS veteran! Scarey!

You know it seems like when people don't agree with you, you accuse them of stalking you. Irene and Zoneboy aren't following you. They are having a discussion. The bigger question is why are you asking the same question on all these boards?
