I read about this last night but had no idea it was someone related to bry whom I've known for many years. Something is obviously wrong somewhere but I hope things turn out ok.

eeek...that is really weird and scary! Like they're being held hostage?

I hope it doesn't turn out like a story we had here. I wonder if it indeed was Melba they talked to on the phone...the police I mean.

thanks folks...some personal insight....since this woman came into the picture, i have heard nothing about her except EVERYBODY thinks she is a gold digger. he had a bunch of money as he and my great aunt spent little their entire lives keeping good quiet thrifty lifelstyles. since this woman arrived, he has spent tons of money on her and her family.
all kinds of things do not add up to robert's traits and actions. with the mentally challenged son (with the harley davidson motorcycle she talked robert into buying for him) missing, it makes you wonder just how and where two elderly people and a grown man can dissappear to without a trace.
of course the sheriff's department can't say much at this point, but they are concerned and i feel they share the family's concern over his well being over hers....
even my very strict nonjudemental christian family members have always been against this woman. a lonely widower with some money...that's a big target for someone out for money and security.
i never met the woman as i have never been close to robert. he stayed home all the time while my aunt came to visit. he just kept to himself mostly. they lived almost an hour away for us. but when i have been around him, he treated me well.

This is awful, and I'm sorry you're dealing with it. It sounds like foul play to me. Follow the money, and there's your answer. The cops need to freeze their accounts. I'd contact America's Most Wanted. This case sounds like something John Walsh would be interested in.

If you'll pardon my language the woman looks like a gold-digging hussy to me at least. They probablly axed the old guy, and waiting for the estate to get out of probate sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but that's what this whole thing strikes me as.

Sure. It's actually a sub-forum of the Unsolved Mysteries board where members discuss cases on the news.
