Who else is up for watching this? I can't wait to see its premiere on July 29th!

I just watched their interview on Larry King and they said it would be a hybrid reality show. It will be partially scripted, but with genuine moments and situations as well.

Sounds interesting to me. They both have had notorious problems with drugs, and because of this I hope it isn't just another exploitative reality show ala the Anna Nicole Smith (RIP) Show.

Between this, the Scott Baio show, and the Bret Michaels show, all on Sundays, it's like a triumvirate of former teen throbs! Heh.

I've heard about it...even if I had cable I wouldn't watch it. I just can't stand reality shows; they're not my thing.

I was way into these guys when I was a teen, so for me it's kind of an 80's nostalgia thing for me (not that there isn't plenty of that to go around). I haven't watched a reality show in a long time, but I am interested in this one.

I can't believe Corey Haim was originally considered to be Chris Chambers...thank God he took the role as Lucas in the movie, Lucas(1986).

I just read today that Kirk Cameron was also up for the part of Lucas!! Imagine how different everything would be today had he gotten the role.

I am just imagining Scott Baio as Maverick in Top Gun......... I can't believe he was offered that role first, but declined it. I guess we wouldn't have seen CIC in syndicated form at all....it would have been a one hit wonder, like Square Pegs. I guess had Baio really accepted, he wouldn't have to do TV shows forever...

I bet he still kicks himself for turning down that role. I can't even picture him in Top Gun!!

I can't imagine Corey Haim in the Chris Chambers role either. River Phoenix was just so great in that role. Likewise, I can't imagine Kirk Cameron in the Lucas role either.

I remember watching Square Pegs! I still remember the opening theme song and then, during the end credits they played "I Know What Boys Like" by the Waittresses. I still love that song.

Baio in Top Gun? Shudder. I can't see him in that role either.

That would have been.....interesting. Kelly McGillis and Scott Baio....that would have funny. I would never want to hear Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" to picture that scene together. But it made Tom an superstar already and he became so big that he became a Christian Scientologist, married Katie Holmes and went crazy on Oprah! Ah, the things to fame for Tom and he is still a nutjob. And he's still the biggest star to gross over a lot of big films in his bank account. It would be completely opposite if Tom didn't accept it. Baio would have all the roles that Tom did later on...IWTV, Born On The Fourth of July, Cocktail, etc. Kelly was born in 1957 and Scott is born in 1961. Four years younger than the love interest, but then again, Tom was five years younger than Kelly...That would have funny....in a bad Back To The Future kind of way....

I can imagine the scene years for the storyteller to tell the history behind the whole thing:

"You see, children. Baio became the biggest star since he started in televison shows to begin with. He did all the films, all the movies, became a Christian Scientologist, married Katie Holmes and went crazy on the Oprah, saying it on the air! What became of Cruise, you say? He became a nobody..he had a reality show that was entitled called 'Tom: Single and Crazy'.."

But that's so funny to think about Kelly and Scott...you could almost die laughing from that. I'm laughing now thinking about that....

I wanted to catch a glimpse of this trainwreck of a show since I LOVE the Coreys Feldman is my favorite of the two)...unfortunately, the show didn't really hold my interest. Maybe I'll tune in to it some time soon again and give it another chance.
