View Full Version : Ok Pav, give us the scoop, why was Full House Yanked off the Schedule tonight???
TVFactFan 07-20-2007, 11:33 PM This is good news to me because on TV land I would have had to watch MASH and you know that's not going to happen. So Full House week I guess had crappy ratings this week and that's why Fresh Prince is back on Tonight????
This news is not as major as Michael Vick but It's News-lol

If I was tied up by robbers in my house and they turned on the tv for me to watch and my options were Full House or Fresh Prince...I would take FP. If my only option were Full House, I'd ask them to blind fold me and turn it off.

Makes sense to me, Full House is not a Marathon type of Show-lol

Janice 07-21-2007, 02:15 PM I actually like Full House, which is amazing because I hate all other shows with kids. I don't know what it is about the show, but I enjoy it.

Ireneparalegal 07-21-2007, 02:23 PM Ok Janice can you give us a detailed explanation as to why you like Full House??????-lol
Yeah, I'd like to know myself.
Actually, I think Janice did state her reason before, but I can't remember.
Janice 07-21-2007, 02:57 PM I'll do my best, lol. I like the premise, how a tragedy brought these men together to form their untraditional family. I watched the episode the other night where they all watched the home movie of when Danny's wife Pam brought Michelle home from the hospital. It was a tearjerker for sure.
I like the relationships between the characters. Uncle Jesse's interactions with the girls are often funny and very touching. The same goes for Danny and Joey. I love how they all look out for one another.
I like every character. I like the three men a lot, and I think they're good actors. I don't find the kids annoying, or only rarely do. They're not like some of the wisecrackers sometimes seen on sitcoms. I love the music, the house, the clothes, the set design in general. Some of the shows are too corny, but many have a sweet message. There's a lot of heartwarming shows. It's a cheerful and bright show that sort of takes me away.
The theme song gets to me every time. "Everywhere you look, there's a heart, of someone who needs you...."
Having lost my family, I don't have that "everywhere you look" anymore.
It's a show about a loving family. I also grew up in family of three sisters, so I can relate to that. I was the youngest of three girls, and my brother wasn't born until I was 12. I simply enjoy the show. We like what we like, I guess. I also love Mister Ed. :)
Scoobiedoo30 07-21-2007, 03:00 PM I have been a very good fan of Full House since it Debuted on September 20, 1987 and I am still a fan of Full House 20 year's later

Good post!
I guess when you can identify with characters or a show as a whole, then of course it is easy to understand.
I know many don't care for Roseanne or are simply tired of it. I love it. I didn't grow up in a family who struggled, far from it. But I can relate to Becky and the whole "that guy is no good for you" issue with Mark. It reminds me so much of what I put my family through.
Also, when I did divorce and had to do things all on my own, it was a struggle for me when I was working full-time as a paralegal in the Los Angeles area, only to rush home 45 minutes away and having to go to a part-time job. That part-time job helped me to keep my daughters in private school. After hurting my back, it came crashing down for me, financially and emotionally. Just like the Conners who had their world come crashing down after Dan's business flopped, it is something I can relate to. Feeling like a failure, feeling like I let my girls down.
So, I can see how you find FH to be something you can relate to and find things that reflect your family. Full House also seems to be a family that many "wish" they could have but didn't.
tanquant 07-21-2007, 08:30 PM Instead of playing the overplayed fresh prince they should have used Growing Pains or Designing Women
Buffyboy323 07-21-2007, 09:03 PM Oh god! There was more Fresh Prince?.....Someone start a petition to get it the hell off that channel already.

That move last night confirmed that Fresh Prince is the Network's highest rated show

Probably only because Roseanne was there a year longer than TFP, and because mostly all of the show is on DVD.
And so what?....The Fresh Prince still needs to go. LOL

Oh I know, I was just pointing out that since FP was the replacement it had to be N@N's star show
