Happy Weekend Everyone! What's going on?

Going to be leaving in abt an hour.

Right now just wondering how that Hillary Clinton thread appeared as a "new post" on the board...I responded to it because I seen it there as a new post. I didn't even notice the date. How did that happen?????

I am soooooo hungry. I haven't eaten and it is already noon. I have no plans for the weekend. Guess I will just play it by ear.

 @ the Clinton post. Just a silly gliche, I guess. Thanks for the wine cooler Irene. In this heat, I need it.

Tonight, my buddy Kieron's new bar Conker Hill officially opens, and anyone who is anyone in my circle of friends should be there.

Is this going to be my new hangout? Will TJL leave the Gaf behind?

Stray tuned and find out.

Tomorrow night I'm going to a Staten Island Yankees game which is always a good time. My roommate got us great seats this year. Plus the beer is five bucks a bottle.

Yeah Janice, someone had posted on that Hillary thread, but I guess after I posted, that poster deleted their post because I don't see the post that originally bumped up that thread. Maybe they saw the initial date of that thread and decided to delete their post. Sounds logical.

I am so tired right now. I am dealing with a tenant who is "picky". Arrrrgggh. She is a nice lady and all, but some people expect perfection with certain repairs/upgrades.

Hey, everyone!

I have been dealing with a lot of personal stress and trying to see what my future holds for me to act upon it in a positive light. I've been switching between summer depression (it's not as bad as during the winter, thankfully!) and also what *I* truly want from my life. It's been a long and cold journey, so I thought I would just stay away from the forums (it's not this one but also another forum I frequent) so I wouldn't act moody or even distraught and interrupt anyone's lives. I don't know how often I plan on returning or anything, but I have promised emails, PMs, and messages to a lot of people. I also have a lot of the thread replies saved in my email box from the email notifications I receive since late June that I still want to reply to. Plus, catch up on the newer threads. Oyyyy....I do want to get caught up because I want to join in, so I promise I hope it'll be soon.

My weekend, so far? It's been going quite well. Yesterday was a really full and funfilled day! Friday I went to Step Aerobics, went to the first airing of the movie premiere of I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry in my city (I'm never the type, but it rocked! :D), went to a training from some speaker from NDSU (North Dakota State U), hung out at a coffee house, and attended a game night/pizza night with this group of people. I returned home pooped out!

I left a voice mail for my apartment complex for them to fix my shower handle. It got stuck and then got loose where the water does not come on! ARGH! I need to shower soon!! Maintenance didn't come by, but I hope they go by and fix it soon. I'm currently at work, but I'm attending a post wedding social dinner tonight at my friend's in-laws' house. Just a couple of hours ago I learned that my aunt is also having a rosary prayer and a dinner for my cousin who passed away nearly a year ago. I don't really want to attend because it's a sad situation and event. I know it sounds selfish, but....

Okay...this turned out to be a novel. All apologies!

what is weekend Chat all about
Weekend Chat is a thread where members drop in and out and talk about what they're doing for the weekend. :)

It's not to be confused with The Advice Thread, Feel Good or Complaint Department threads. That's not to say that people can't talk about how they're feeling here, but I've seen instances where members get their feelings hurt because they don't get replies or advice here. It's not about that, it's a place to talk about your weekend.

Well, I am going to the grocery store and run over to Home Depot and see what the garden dept. has in store for me. :D

Hey, does anyone else have a chicken place (restaurant) called Chik-fil-A in their area???? We had one open up abt a month ago and the sandwiches are so damn good!!!! They aren't greasy or anything like that. I understand this is a place that is more popular in the midwest and eastern part of the U.S.

You've got a good point there, Janice. I just know myself way too well. When I am feeling extremely down, way too hard on myself, or even depressed, I get into these moods where I easily get sensitive if I try and get to know someone or even try and write them, and they give me no response. Then, I feel hurt. It pisses me off about myself, so I figure that room is the best medicine for me. It's not the healthiest. True about the funny people around here, but when I try and get into convos with them, I just feel like I am the third wheel. It's mainly when I am in the aforementioned moods. It's not always. I am feeling in the loop of these moods lately, so that's why I am not around as much as well as other personal stress.

I will try and just be more open to just trying to last the laughter is the best medicine practice from the funny people and threads here. Thanks. :)

Thanks. :) That is such a sad movie. When Robert Downey Jr.'s character dies at the end it always makes me sad. Though I think you pretty much know it is going to happen.

Didn't do a damn thing today. I just stayed home nearly the whole time, apart from walking three miles right before the sun set at a nearby track. I did wash my dishes, but it was nice! Now, I've gotta really start my sex paper that I am writing for my final paper for my Human Sexuality class. It's gotta be between 7-10 pages long, and I know what I wanna write. I am just being lazy. It's due on Tuesday! Yikes!

Mona, when I read your threads, I feel that you and I have a lot in common. I know how it feels to depressed and being hard on yourself; if you EVER need someone to talk to, I am there for you, girl (always); remember, no one said life was easy, but it is easier when you have friends around that do care:)
Thanks, Tara. I know that I have been telling you that I will send you a PM, and I mean it. I am just either lazy or busy. I do plan on dedicating an evening this week for sending out long overdue messages. I have a lot to tell you.

Thanks, Monika! Ohhh....as I mentioned to Brad a couple of weeks ago, I still have yet to make the recipes you both have sent me. I am in dire need to dedicate some time to make both of your yummy dishes. I haven't forgetten. I've just been quite lazy.
