I have never posted any fanfic before, but I have thought about posting one. I know several people want the fanfic posted all in one piece, so here is my question. Is there a way I can type my fanfic in Word and then transfer it here? I think I have read that other people have done this, but I do not know how. This is probably a dumb question, but I am pretty computer illiterate. Please help me out if you can.

Try copy and paste. Type your fanfic. Highlight it. Press ctrl and c. The come over here and press ctrl and v.

Okay, I tried it, but it didn't work. I do not know what I am doing wrong. I typed a little something just as a test. I highlighted it and copied it. Then I came here, clicked post new topic, and tried to paste it. It did not paste. I really want to figure this out because I have a good fanfic idea and I want to post it. Am I doing something wrong??? My computer has been doing some strange things today. Maybe I should try again later. Oh well, thanks for the help!

That is what I have done in the past is it to type it in Word, copy it, and then paste it in the box. I usually right click in the box and then go to paste. Never had any problems.

Thank you sooooooo much for your help!!! I did not know I needed to right click in the box. I was left clicking instead. Now, as soon as I have finished it, I can post my fanfic. I appreciate the help!

ok... on the word document go to Edit and then to select all... Then the WHOLE text should highlight in a black or something... then go back to Edit (at the top of the screen) and click on copy... THEN come over to this and click on write new topic and then click in the box you type in and likc RIGHT Click you're Mouse... a little box should appear and just move the mouse to the PASTE text that appears in the boxes and click that... THAT SHOULD let your Text paste into the box... and no offense.. but we can tell you are pretty computer illiterate... this was one of the first things i learned how to do.. but i guess not growing up on a computer (if you are older) can really give you a hell of a tiem trying to learn now... hope this works

I was not offended. Like I said, I am computer illiterate. Thanks for the help. Oh, by the way, I do know how to cut,copy,paste,etc. I just have never copied something onto a message board like this and I am not THAT old. Yes, I am an adult, but I did grow up with computers. I guess I just do not have a lot of internet experience. Anyway, thanks for the help!
