Watching the entire first season on DVD it was a good thing that Bonnie Franklin stepped in and spoke up about the quality of the show. It was too slapstick sitcom stuff especially with Bonnie Franklin and Richard Masur's scenes together. I was glad that he was off the show..

The scene with Julie working at the diner was the best ep of season 1

I thought the first season was pretty good but I never liked the David character. He was just so p-whipped when it came to Ann. :lol:
