The first video I saw on MTV was The Rolling Stones "Waiting on a Friend".

The very first one I seen was the VERY FIRST ONE THEY SHOWED, "Video killed the radio star". MTV debuted when I was almost 17 years old.

You don't by any chance have "Dirty Laundry" by Don Henley on one of those tapes do you? It's one of the very few 80's videos I don't have. :(

One of the Michael Jackson's Thriller videos. Infact, it was probably the video for "Thriller" itself. The part where he turns into a warewolf gave me a serious case of the creeps. :eek:

Love Plus One by Haircut 100. We didn't get MTV til '82 and a friend and I discovered it one day during spring break. We were 12 at the time.

I can't remember my first, but yeah, this was definitely one of them I can recall seeing as a kid. It gave me the creeps too....I actually thought this was a movie and not a music video when I was a child.

Except I was at the Roller Rink! The place darkened at one end of the rink and they projected music videos.

I didn't get cable tv until the end of the 80s. MTV was already going downhill with game shows, talks shows.

I don't remember what the first music video was that I saw on MTV, but I watched the channel back in the 1980's whenever Martha Quinn was on because I had a mega crush on her. :eyes:
