Does anyone here ever buy scratch it tickets? What are your favorite games to play, and what is the most amount you've ever won off a ticket?? Also, which games do you tend to have the best luck winning at? Some of my favorites are Super Bonus Crossword since it has various ways to win. I also enjoy One Word Crossword Doubler, and when I play the dollar ticket, I enjoy playing Aces High. I've only started playing recently, within the last two months as a matter of fact, and I have yet to win big money. I usually buy $20.00 worth of tickets a month, and that's it. So far the most I've won was $8.00 twice. Once on Aces High, and the other time on One Word Crossword Doubler. Anyway, does anyone else here occasionally get scratch it tickets, and what are some of your success stories, and favorite games to play??

Generally, if I do play in any sort of lottery game, it's the quarter pull-tab variety instead of the scratch-offs. And that's usually only from change left over I find when I clean out my room or my car.

Most I won was $50 on a quarter pull-tab.

Waste of money!!

That can be true, and unfortunately is true for the people who play irresponsibly. But I've found that the people who play responsibly usually end up profitting. In the two months I've been playing, I've put in $40.00, and ended up profitting $31.00. It's all about knowing how to play, and knowing when to quit. Last month off the $20.00 worth of tickets, I made $41.00, which was a profit of $21.00. This month I made $31.00, which was a profit of $11.00. My brother recently won $500.00 playing, and since he kept all his losing scratc tickets, he got to keep it all, and didn't have to pay any taxes. So in my experiences, it's all about how a person plays, and how much self control they have, and if they know when to stop, which'll determine if it's a waste or not.

The most I've won on a scratch off was 200 dollars a few years ago. The biggest winner this year so far has been $48.00. I like the tickets that take time to play, like Bingo and Cash Words.

I very seldom buy them, & I've never won over $20.

By spending a $500.00 check on them and losing it all, (which I've known people to do), or by not quitting while they're ahead. There are plenty of ways.

We won $500 on one before. A former co-worker of mine, her mother hit for a million. My stepson hit for 20 grand. I'm not sure what games these were. We hit for 20 grand on the daily lottery number, while my cousin's parents-in-law hit for over two million on Megabucks.

As for being irresponsible, the lottery can destroy lives. It is gambling. I have an in-law who was so hooked on scratch tickets, that it almost destroyed her marriage. She was using household money and savings to sneak and buy massive amounts of tickets. She's bi-polar, and I'm told that had something to do with it.

My uncle wone $360 once. I've never won more than $5 tho. Then again, I buy those tickets like a few times a year so I'm not too suprised.

Some of you have heard this one before:

A few years ago I bought my sister a few birthday themed scratch off lottery cards to put in her Birthday card and she won a thousand bucks with one.

Never saw any of that money...

;)

That's too bad. I think she should have given you something. I don't give lottery as gifts. My parents were the only ones I could take making rich, lol. Years ago, I used to give season tickets to Megabucks to everyone for Christmas. No more. I'll be honest about it. If someone I knew hit for millions because of me, it would bother me a lot.

^ My sister offered to split it with me, but I refused.

Am I a terrific guy or what?

You certainly are, and that was a very generous offer on your sister's part.

I'm the exact same way. Half of what I like so much about getting the tickets isn't even the possibility of winning money, but more the fun I have playing them, so I also like getting the games that take longer. I like the bingo ones too, but the crossword ones are my favorites. The only quick game I like playing is Aces High.
