...it was a short-lived sitcom on (I think) NBC in the mid-60s. If anyone remembers it, what was it about? All I can remember is, it had 2 young guys running an apt. building in New York. I think Sheldon Leanord was the executive producer, or something.

I have 4 episodes of it, but I don't think I have ever watched it. I mostly got it because Garry Marshall was involved.

William Hutchins a young man from Ohio, who inherits a New York City brownstone apartment building from his uncle, and shares his apartment with an up-and-coming stand-up comedian played by Sandy Baron (Jack Klompus from Seinfeld) LOTS of guest stars in this one like Rob Reiner, Sally Field, Michael Constantine, Richard Dreyfus....

Also Ann Morgan Guilbert was on some of the shows.

It aired on Sunday nights on NBC for the 1966-67 season. It was on at 8:30 eastern time right after DISNEYS WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR and before BONANZA. Sally Field was added to the cast in mid-season as the sister of the guy who owned the apt. building.

I do. Are you near New York City? If you are check out Museum of Television & Radio. I think they have 1 or 2 eps archived. (See my post on the Museum on O & H site--which you've visited before I did the post on the Museum.)

There's also a Museum of Television & Radio in Los Angeles but I don't know anything about it since I've never been to LA & live on the East Coast.

Also involved in the show is John Rich (you'll see his
name in hundreds of sitcoms, including ALL IN THE FAMILY).
Coincidentally, Rob Reiner appeared in a small role in a couple of episodes.
The show starred Will Hutchins (best known as TV's SUGARFOOT) and
comic Sandy Baron. The landlord was Michael Constantine (ROOM 222,
MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING). Sally Field appeared in 4 episodes near
the end of the run (her second sitcom). Fred Willard made his TV debut
in an episode of this show. It's a show which had a lot of promise and
a great premise, but never really jelled. It was replaced after one season
by THE MOTHERS-IN-LAW on NBC.

I think I have all but 2 episodes. Very funny show, Garry Marshall's first sitcom. Really underrated series that was quite good.

...created and produced the series for United Artists TV; it was sponsored by Procter & Gamble in its 8:30pm(et) Sunday night time period on NBC [after "WALT DISNEY'S WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR"], and had a great theme by Quincy Jones....yet it lasted just 31 episodes. Even Garry Marshall admitted, in his autobiography, that he and Jerry Belson weren't "ready" to tackle a TV series on their own at that time...it had potential, but P & G was impatient for "ratings" (and key demographics)...that's why "LET'S MAKE A DEAL" replaced them that spring, instead of summer reruns...
