It always humors me some of the names people come up for their businesses.

These are some I've seen:

Ice Cream Place - The Inside Scoop

Coffee Place - The Grounds Keeper & Latte Da

Costume Shop - Disguise the Limit

Restaurant - The Garden of Eating

Landscaping Business - The Marquis de Sod

Hair Salon - The Mane Attraction

Anybody know any more?

Phoebe, this is totally off topic, but I noticed in your siggy that you saw Rush last month. I am seeing them on September 8th. I can't wait! :D Did they play "Subdivisions"? That is my favorite Rush song and they did not play it in 2002. Though they did play it in 2004.

D'oh!! I've been meaning to erase that!!lol. Yes, they did play "Subdivisions". If you want to know the whole set list from my show, I can PM you. Of course, your show will probably be different. I mean, it is Rush!

Actually, I like surprises, so I really don't want to have any idea what the set list is before the show. Thanks though. :) I was just hoping that they would play "Subdivisions". As long as they play that, I'm good to go.

Some stupid business names; not really clever:

I remember a local steak restaurant back in the 70's and 80's called "The Dead Cow". (yuck)

There was this high-end clothing shop in the mall called "Snooty-Tooty". (lah-di-dah!)

OK, this isn't a name of a business but..... a place that I drive by daily on my way to work makes cemetary headstones. One of those headstones is engraved with "Buckle up--we can wait"

Yeah, there's a company similar to that. They're called "Batesville Casket Co." and on the back of their trucks reads 'Drive Safely, Heaven Can Wait'.

I can't really think of any right now but I remember in Ellen DeGeneres sitcom, Ellen, she owned a book store called "Buy The Book" which I always thought was clever.

Not only that but Universal Studios in Orlando had a book store called "Buy the Book". Of course, that all came from Ellen's sitcom.

There is a "Wok & Roll" Chinese restaurant north of Cincinnati on OH 4/Springfield Pike south of I-275. At least there was in 1993. As a matter of fact, it was the first Chinese restaurant at which I ever ate!

I don't know if there is a placed named this or not but I always thought that a great name for a gravel company would be, Kiss My Asphalt.
