I went to Universal Studios on Sunday, and boy I had a blast. I felt like a kid in a candy store. I went to see the Lucy tribute and was in awe seeing all the costumes, props, awards, and scripts. I choked up as I watched the tribute on the big screen in the middle of the room. What also made this trip worth while, was seeing Lucy's mansion. I walked up to the walkway outside the gate and had my picture taken. We drove all through Beverly Hills and Bel-Air we couldn't find the Hillbilly mansion cause I didn't have the correct address. I did see the following celebrity mansions....Leonardo DiCaprio, Winona Rider, Lucille Ball, Elizabeth Montgomery, Agnes Moorehead, Ricardo Montaban, Nicholas Cage, and the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air mansion. We also drove to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and checked out the shops and we seen Cher as she was leaving a store. My Nephew thinks he saw Laverne as we drove through Beverly Hills. I also bought a dress shirt at Bernini's of Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive. I kept thinking of lucy's adventure when she wanted to buy a Don Loper original, btw you can get one on Ebay, I checked last year and they had a dress from that era.

Oh I sure did, since I bought a two day pass to Universal we're going back sometime in September. I was in awe of everything, Lucy was indeed a class act.
I bet that was so much fun. Did you take tons of pictures?

Oh, yes I did. Got alot of pics on the tram tour, turns out the whole Beaver block is now Wisteria Lane. You can still recognize Beave'rs house and the Munster mansion. I took a picture in front of Lucy's mansion, I felt as if I were close to her it was weird. I was so tempted to leave a note in her mailbox, but my sister-in-law said it it was not legal to do so.

Have you ever been to the Lucy/Desi Museum in Jamestown, NY? That is indeed a mecca for Lucy fans. Here's the website: http://www.lucy-desi.com/

I seen it as well (here in California at Universal City) in April this year.
Abt two years before Lucy died, I too took a drive (in my own car, not a tour) past her home. My then husband and I had gone to Los Angeles for another reason and we were done with what we had to do and so we decided to take a drive past the mansions and so forth. I knew Lucy's address by heart, being a fan will do that to you.

Didn't you feel like you were close to Lucy when you went to Universal and driving by her mansion? I actually got down and took a pic in front of the gate of the walkway.
Catlover-I've never been there, but would love a chance to visit.
