Exclusive! Rosie O'Donnell: Cruiseship attack on Hasselback

http://www.usmagazine.com/files/rosie_blog_16.jpg

Rosie O'Donnell pokes fun at Elizabeth Hasselbeck during a cruise ship performance on July 8, 2007.

Looks like Rosie O’Donnell has some issues about her premature departure from The View.

The comedian, 45, laid into Elisabeth Hasselbeck -- her former friend and cohost -- in front of a 1,500-person audience on her cruise (from NYC to a private island in the Bahamas) for gay and lesbian families.

A witness tells Us that O’Donnell trotted out a giant photo of Hasselbeck doctored up as the devil, made a “crazy” gesture at the poster and said, “Her only f--king credit was Survivor. Come on!”

And O’Donnell implied that the pair’s famous last battle wasn’t held on an even playing field.

“I can’t fight with pregnant people. Just go have your baby and have a nice life.”

O’Donnell also told the crowd that when you do a show with a group of gals, “before you know it, you’ve got a Jimmy Choo in your back!”

Finally, she targeted Donald Trump.

Recalls the witness, “Rosie said she’d love to break into his apartment and rub her belly all over him.”

Hasselbeck’s rep had no comment. Trump’s rep could not be reached.

I guess Rosie expects people to just shut up and take her diatribes. She picked on the wrong people in Elisabeth and Trump.

Now that Rosie knows that she's gone from The View, won't be getting Price, etc., she's screaming for anyone to hear, just trying to add another few minutes onto her remaining shelf life of relevancy.

I suppose this will start another Trump/Rosie war of words. Also, I think Elisabeth looks better in that picture than Rosie, lol. It's hard to believe that Rosie used to be called the Queen of Nice.

She just keeps proving how low-class (no-class?) she is.
Even Calamity Jane had more class than Rosie! :D

Way to go Rosie.

You went off on a woman who wasn't there about something that was over months ago to a crowd of your adoring fans who paid money to go on a cruise with you.

You totally showed her!

Of course I'm sure Rosie will blame the person or persons who leaked the story to the media.

Ever hear of don't ask, don't tell?

I used to like Rosie too. She was really funny and pleasant. Nowadays, her entire act seems built on confrontation, anger and nastiness. It's too bad because she is a talented comedienne.

"Was" being the operative word here. It's like she went the route of those nasty and mean comedians/comediennes who think that crude is the way to get a laugh. If she started out "crude and rude" than so be it, but that is not what she based her comedy stuff on, nor was that the persona she would show.

What a sad, useless, waste of life she is. Once a fat pig, always a fat pig.

I can't wait to hear all of the Rosie defenders on here tell us again how she is a comedian and that this is all done in the name of comedy.
I have to agree. I mean, this was a FAMILY cruise, no? And this is her "entertainment?" I hope there weren't any kids present. Her kids are going to grow up well if she talks that way around them. What a bitch.

And so Elisabeth was only on Survivor...what high quality dramatic work has Rosie done exactly?

why cannot the US ship her arse to canada or afghanistan? and more to the point why cannot she be quiet? rosie probably thinks the reason why many americans and people hate her is because she is overweight and a lesbian. actually no- the reason we dislike you is because you keep courting controversey, whilst at the same time pissing people off with your idiotic antics. at her age, it is astonishing the fact that she hasn't grown up whatsoever

I know for a fact that her defenders do. The people who defend Michael Moore think the same way about those of us who hate him. They're both wrong. What's really astonishing is that she buys into the party line of the 9/11 Conspiracy Freaks, including the one about fire not melting steel. Well not only are the 9/11 attacks not the first time fire has either melted or weakened a steel structure, it happened close to her hometown 13 years ago. Back in 1994 on the Long Island Expressway at Exit 53(which is close to her hometown Exit 52), some doctor pulled out in front of a gasoline tanker and caused a huge accident with a big fire that weakened the bridge for the Sagtikos State Parkway. The doctor and his dog got killed, the bridge had to be rebuilt, and the Regional DOT commissioner resigned, because the repairs were going to put the budget through the roof.

And that was too bad, because I really liked the guy. He was the closest thing to Robert Moses that Long Island had in a long time.

i am not a fan of george bush myself, but still, i think that rosie o' donnell has handled that whole situation in bad taste. and also, who the hell did she think she was by outing clay aitken on her former chatshow? for her to out him in the way that she did was disgraceful

Elisabeth Hasselback isn't stupid. She's a college educated woman who gets her points across very well. So well in fact, that she managed to shut Rosie down for good on The View.

She did seem like a much nicer person then. Maybe she is going through personal problems or something. Or maybe, like you said, she always did have a mean side that she hid from everyone.
