The live action version ran for four years, we know that. But the animated version of ALF began in 1987, not 1988. The animated version, however, did indeed end in 1990. Therefore, the animated version of ALF ran for three years, not two. BTW, the animated version started off as Alf: The Animated Series and then changed its' name to ALF Tales for the last two seasons of the animated version.
