View Full Version : Big Brother 8
HuntingtonM15 07-08-2007, 04:12 PM I know it just started, but does anyone have favorites, and dislikes yet? I don't have too many favorites yet. The majority of the women are mostly annoying. But so far I like Carol, Nick, Dustin and Mike. I'm not sure how I feel about Amber and Jameka yet. I cannot stand Jessica, Zach, Joe, and Jen. Daniele can also be pretty annoying.
I Love John Ritter 07-08-2007, 04:18 PM Well just from watching Thursday's episode Jen appears to be really annoying. Joe seems pretty annoying as well. Don't really have any favorite yet. Why don't Danielle and Dick get along?? Did they explain it and I just missed it?
Corolla 07-08-2007, 09:14 PM JEN is so annoying. I like most of the other house guests though.
HuntingtonM15 07-08-2007, 09:19 PM It was hilarious how Jen was crying over her picture. I was hoping her dumb act was, in fact, just an act, but I guess not.
dakert 07-08-2007, 09:31 PM This <so far> seems like an awful Big Brother. I dont remember any of the others being this boring. Way too many uninteresting peeps and way the heck too much Crying for only being the 2nd episode.
There is not enough diversity in the ages. I was sooo looking forward to this season but after 2 episodes it is a disappointment. I only watch 2 network shows Survivor and Big Brother.
HuntingtonM15 07-08-2007, 09:36 PM This <so far> seems like an awful Big Brother. I dont remember any of the others being this boring.
Are you sure you remember BB4? I don't think a season could possibly be worse. I like this season enough so far, but we'll see what happens.

OMG! I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Agree, I was looking forward to see some color and different age groups this time around. Just about everyone in the house are in their 20's except for 2 people. What was BB thinking this year????
Bring back my BB All Stars
HuntingtonM15 07-08-2007, 10:19 PM Since there hasn't been a wide variety in age groups in quite a while now, I honestly wasn't expecting any this time, either.
dakert 07-08-2007, 11:00 PM I dont exactly remember BB4 but it had to have been better than this season as I have enjoyed all the seasons except this one.
coffield3 07-08-2007, 11:03 PM BB8 in the uk at the moment all them are boring its really dull to watch right now.
HuntingtonM15 07-08-2007, 11:48 PM I dont exactly remember BB4 but it had to have been better than this season as I have enjoyed all the seasons except this one.
It really wasn't. I almost lost interest in the show, because of that season. Luckily, things got good again in BB5. It's hard to judge an entire season by two episodes.
I Love John Ritter 07-09-2007, 02:44 AM Well, it looks like I was right about Jen after all. She is really annoying. Crying real tears over a picture? Wow. That was so ridiculous.
APPLEI 07-09-2007, 03:43 PM Jessica looks and sounds like my ex girlfriend
HuntingtonM15 07-09-2007, 05:19 PM Jessica looks and sounds like my ex girlfriend
Wow, I don't think I could put up with that voice for more than 2 minutes.
APPLEI 07-10-2007, 12:13 PM Are you sure you remember BB4? I don't think a season could possibly be worse. I like this season enough so far, but we'll see what happens.
is BB4 the one that Jun won and Alison was the runner up?
80sTrivia 07-10-2007, 04:01 PM Although I swore I would never watch BB, I actually watched most of Sunday's episode...
Brent88 07-10-2007, 04:08 PM I am loving this season so far! I love the hilarious drama between Joe/Dustin(agree that Dustin is the sane one), and I loved Jen crying over her picture.
I have watched both episodes, I was expecting some boring filler on Sunday since it was the Sunday show, but it was very good. Very excited about tonight!

Same here. Watching the feeds, I wasn't expecting much of Sunday's episode, but I loved it.
RoryGilmore 07-10-2007, 05:56 PM I didnt watch last week but def. watching tonight! :)
I Love John Ritter 07-11-2007, 07:24 PM Wow, Jen is so unbelievably annoying! That lie she said about Nick was so stupid. I was really hoping Daniele would use the veto so Jen could be put on the block but I can understand why she didn't use it. It was best for her not to. Jessica is also really annoying. Her voice drives me nuts.
Karen197488 07-11-2007, 08:35 PM I like Daniele. Who thinks that Eric is sooooooooooo cute too!!
Corolla 07-12-2007, 09:03 AM There were like bags under Jen's eyes but they weren't like her bags.
^ Third person point of view representation of Jen's words.
I love BB8... next episode airs tonight. :D
RoryGilmore 07-12-2007, 11:44 AM Anything importnant happen in the last 10 minutes on Tuesday, I had to help dad with something.
dakert 07-12-2007, 09:06 PM I watched this thursday epidsode but it still is very under-whelming that I will forgo any shows in this season and wait until 2008. My room mate was falling asleep during the show. too bad. The one show besides Survivor I look forward to seeing on broadcast tv--time for Sonny and Cher Ultimate on DVD
Brent88 07-12-2007, 09:11 PM Jen won HOH! This is going to be the BEST WEEK ever just because she hates everyone and everyone hates her.
Seriously, is she friends with ANYONE?
Bye Carol. I really the much more annoying Jessica is right behind her, and Amber too. Ugh. I don't know if I can take another week of her round-the-clock crying and breakdowns though.
HuntingtonM15 07-12-2007, 09:46 PM I LOVE that Jen won HOH. It's hilarious. All week mostly everyone said how there's no way Jen could ever get HOH, and how it was the house plan to get rid of her this week. I love how the tables turned. I think Dick will definitely be nominated, but I'm not sure who else yet. She could pick almost anyone.
Lodee 07-13-2007, 06:49 PM It was hilarious how Jen was crying over her picture. I was hoping her dumb act was, in fact, just an act, but I guess not.
That was hilarious! Granted, it was a pretty bad picture of her but still.
Brent88 07-16-2007, 06:50 PM Daniele won the veto, saved herself, Joe in on the block against Dick and it looks like Joe is going.
Lodee 07-16-2007, 10:12 PM Grrr........ I just read the spoiler! I'm as bad as a kid on Christmas. Thanks for the warning though. At least I only have myself to blame.
Melonhead00 07-17-2007, 10:29 AM It was hilarious how Jen was crying over her picture. I was hoping her dumb act was, in fact, just an act, but I guess not.

Jennifer accordingly DID show her true colors and she wasn't happy about the picture taken.
Melonhead00 07-17-2007, 10:33 AM Daniele won the veto, saved herself, Joe in on the block against Dick and it looks like Joe is going.
I don't know for sure if Joseph is eliminated as the tide may go the other way in the favor to Richard aka Dick's demise
Brent88 07-18-2007, 01:08 AM Tonight may have been the best episode of BB in years...
I just loved it. Jen is SO crazy that I want her to stick around. This show has been hilarious with her.
"It's a personality!" Go Dick. LOL
RoryGilmore 07-18-2007, 02:14 AM Okay I missed the first half why was Jen in the red thing and why were Kail and Amber handcuffed?
Czas na Zywiec 07-18-2007, 04:26 AM Tonights episode was great! Maybe this season will be as great as BB6. As long as it's better than the crap ass All Stars. I had my doubts the first few eps but the whole Dick vs. Jen thing is hilarious. :rotflmao: Definitely a top notch episode.
Brent88 07-18-2007, 04:21 PM Okay I missed the first half why was Jen in the red thing and why were Kail and Amber handcuffed?
It was part of the veto competition. It was a curling type event with a Christmas theme(fake snow and trees). The person who was out each round won a prize, some were good(Dick won a Plasma TV, Joe won a slop pass, Mike won a date with a HG of his choice), while some were I guess not, though Jen loved that unitard and Amber/Kail didn't seem to mind being handcuffed.

Thanks, i turned it on and I was real confused.

Except when you saw them in confessional, Amber was like "WE'RE BOTH MOTHERS WE ROCK!!!!!!!!111" and Kail wasn't saying a thing and wanted to roll her eyes.
Brent88 07-19-2007, 02:32 AM Except when you saw them in confessional, Amber was like "WE'RE BOTH MOTHERS WE ROCK!!!!!!!!111" and Kail wasn't saying a thing and wanted to roll her eyes.
:brent
Kail is really getting on my nerves. She's getting all upset because apparently Joe doesn't have the votes to stay(they are voting live on the show). She's been on a huge campaign the last 24 hours trying to rally the house and having trouble with even her own alliance. She's making herself a big target. Zach is totally supporting Dick and Nick seems to be voting out Joe, but who knows. I think the vote will be close either way, though I am still leaning towards Joe going.
APPLEI 07-19-2007, 11:25 AM in my opinion Amber is too Thin-Skinned to be on this show
she crieds about EVERYTHING
Melonhead00 07-19-2007, 08:47 PM The Houseguests have spoken and by...
a vote of 9:1, and by this vote of 4:1 as well, for a combined vote of 13:02, Joseph aka Joe has been evicted from the Big Brother House
Brent88 07-19-2007, 08:57 PM DICK WON HOH!!!!
WOOHOO!!!!
and Joe is gone... this has been the best eviction episode in a long time!
Czas na Zywiec 07-19-2007, 10:21 PM Brent it's nice to be on the same side of the fence for once lol (Since we were on the opposite side during BB6 :p)
What can I say, great episode! No more Joe and the guy I was rooting for won HOH. It was funny, I even jumped up and went "WOOO" when he won lol I haven't done that since season 6 haha.
I Love John Ritter 07-20-2007, 01:34 AM Yay! Dick is HOH!! He's my favorite. I love it when he yells at Jen, LOL.
in my opinion Amber is too Thin-Skinned to be on this show
she crieds about EVERYTHING
Agreed. It's getting really annoying.
Brent88 07-20-2007, 04:05 AM Kail is in TOTAL and complete panic tonight. She has literally been running around like a chicken with her head cut off for the last 6 hours. She has run to Dustin and Amber and told about her alliance, which of course is not news. Now she's meeting with ED and he tells her he was totally going to honor the deal and keep her safe this week until she turned against him and campaigned to get him out, that there's nothing she can do to not go up and she better win veto or she's gone. She once again brings up the former alliance and is shocked to learn he already knows about it, she says they betrayed her and she's totally alone, he says she took the wrong deal and made a huge mistake.
This is really good but I need to go to bed.
blackbeard 07-20-2007, 07:53 AM I am so glad Dick is HOH. I hope Jen realizes no matter what she does Dick will make her 1 of the 2 nominated for eviction.

BOOO!!!
APPLEI 07-20-2007, 10:43 AM i hope that Jen stays
she makes the show more interesting:cool:
i know this won't happen
but i would love to see Amber go
she's a downer and she cries about everything:(

I'd love to see Amber go as well, but it probably won't happen for a bit. She thinks she's guaranteed a spot in the final two, because of a dream her friend had.
Brent88 07-23-2007, 12:59 AM Dick and Daniele have had multiple fights tonight...
Dick is making everyone upset, he went off at Nick, Zach, and Jen for being in the HOH room earlier, and at Nick for the Daniele stuff. He went off at Amber for being too emotional, and has of course gone off at Kail several times.
Corolla 07-23-2007, 06:43 AM I didn't see any fights between Dick and Daniele on last nights' show. They seemed to be getting along pretty well, with Daniele crying about Nick + the other guy she likes off the show thing.
I hope Kail goes, she's really... eww.

Brent was referring to what was actually going on in the house last night, not last night's actual episode.
RoryGilmore 07-23-2007, 11:49 AM I really dont care who goes, I'd like them both gone.
blackbeard 07-23-2007, 06:44 PM I think Kail will be the one gone unless she wins the veto challenge.
Melonhead00 07-24-2007, 12:06 AM HOLD EVERYTHING!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!
Jennifer has won the Power of Veto contest and used it upon herself, leaving Kail alone and forcing Evil Dick to pick Michael aka Mike instead
Melonhead00 07-26-2007, 08:59 PM Big Brother Live Evict Result:
By way of a vote of 7 votes to 2, Michael aka Mike, and NOT Kail, has been evicted from the Big Brother
Full-Time Result Kail 2:7 Mike
Brent88 07-26-2007, 09:09 PM Dustin won HOH. I feel about the same way as I would have with almost anyone else winning.
Jen does not get her looks from her mom.
Daniele's BF looked sad... but I also don't think he's seeing everything that has gone on. I mean if you've seen the live feeds...
Kail was funny thinking everyone loves her because she stayed. Ummmm, you did get 2 votes and America wanted you out over Mike(including me). But this should be interesting...
rosered 08-01-2007, 05:15 PM Who else watches the 24/7 live feeds anyway? (If you don't, you should, it's so addicting, I can't even describe it. You feel like you see so much more of the show!)
Couldn't believe that Jameka actually saved Jen last night. I think that was not the smartest move on her part...but really I guess it was Dustin's fault since he kept on using his points to buy prizes instead of trying to win the veto. But, I guess that they could just keep on putting up Jen and Kail to be evicted until one of them goes...
I think I want Kail to go this week. But I also don't see that she's much of a serious threat to anybody now, so maybe I would understand if they went after Nick instead, you know?
Brent88 08-02-2007, 05:03 PM MAJOR stuff is happening! Kail is asking for a voluntary exit! She doesn't want to be there and doesn't want to go to sequester. Before she went to the DR to ask, she was asking Amber and Jen to vote her out because she wants to go. omg:
About the same time that went down, fight number #1,000 happened between Dick and Jen. CBS is billing tonight's BB as the "most controversial episode ever" for the stuff that has happened before today.

caladon 08-27-2007, 12:27 AM I hope Eric has to kiss someone other than Jessica. This season has sucked so far.
Well, if America wants to see the instant elimination of two players, they can chose to have Eric kiss Dick. Then you'd have Dick out of the game for the first live feed homicide and Eric for being the first person beaten to death on a reality show. ;)
Melonhead00 08-27-2007, 01:55 AM That won't happen anytime soon unless otherwise authorized.
Melonhead00 09-01-2007, 02:40 PM This is what you get for putting in a Big Brother cheater
Brent88 09-06-2007, 09:10 PM Bye Bye Big Brother. I refuse to watch Dick or Daniele win this freaking game. I have never been so disgusted.

I agree. I'll still watch, but I can't believe I'm now rooting for Jameka. Right now I see Dani taking the game.
blackbeard 09-06-2007, 10:58 PM I am sure if Dick & Dani are the final 2, the jury will vote unanimously for Dani to win. No one will vote for Dick. The only chance of Jameka or Zack winning this game is if they throw HOH this Sunday and let Dani win. Dani will nominate Jam and Zac for eviction, 1 will be gone and then other can win last HOH to get in the final 2 and win the game. At least that is the only way I see of either of them winning this game.

blackbeard 09-08-2007, 07:48 PM Good bye Jameka, You can now kiss and cry with Amber in the jury house. If Zack doesn't win the next HOH good bye Zack.
Brent88 09-08-2007, 07:53 PM This will be my last post on BB this season... if CBS is lucky. Dick and Daniele will be the final two, it's over and it doesn't even matter now. Goodbye.
Bring on the Fall premieres!
tdf4077 09-08-2007, 07:55 PM Zach was just dumb. Dick/Dani will never let him get past the top 3, so he should have used the opportunity to break up the alliance.
Go Jameka I guess.
I don't want to go all the way back through this...who did you all want to win? I was actually hoping for either Jessica or Eric!
HuntingtonM15 09-08-2007, 08:21 PM I don't want to go all the way back through this...who did you all want to win? I was actually hoping for either Jessica or Eric!
Even though I disliked her for the first couple weeks...JEN! She ended up being my favorite this season. Now, I'm rooting for Dick, but I'm sure Dani will take the game.
caladon 09-09-2007, 01:29 AM If this the last season of BB then I guess the audience will win. Speaking of Jen; when Dick (who is so aptly named) poured out the glass of tea on her head, did BB invoke any type of penalty upon him, or were they too busy laughing to do so?

I highly doubt this will be the last season of BB, and no Dick did not receive a penalty. CBS said because there was no physical harm, he did not technically break any rules.

Yea, CBS hopes for this kind of drama to happen haha. The whole Dick/Jen thing was gold to them. When Jen took Dick's cigarette's and trashed them, I was SURE he was ready to kill her, so kind of disappointed nothing happened further. CBS probably replaced his supply because he has said nothing about it since (Not 100% because I don't get live feeds...) Still, not a bad season at all. You can't really do much to match season 6, 7 was a dissapointment (except for Janie of course  ) but 7 and 8 were a huge improvement from seasons 4 and 5 put together.

I know, I was really looking forward to a direct reaction from Dick about the cigarettes. CBS did replace them, it just wasn't shown. That's why Jen got so upset, and that's the reason she gave for going against the food restriction and eating. Even though it's not going to end how I want it to (does it ever?), I agree that it definitely wasn't a bad season. I don't expect another season to ever match or top season 6, but I'll definitely keep watching.

I have never said so about her looks as she, Janelle, attempted or have, thrown certain competitions like, Power of Veto, Head-of-Household, and various food/drink and luxury to name a few. I see Janelle as an unfair and unfit player and I, TLE, give no one's rat's arse who says otherwise.

Try making sense. Please explain when she threw competitions, other than the food comp in S6 when she purposely didn't try to win because the Nerd Herd was on her team. Also, how is this cheating? Please explain in full detail.
I Love John Ritter 09-11-2007, 01:12 AM Daniele is really getting on my nerves, but I think she's going to win, unfortunatley.
RoryGilmore 09-11-2007, 12:55 PM I like Danielle, Dick I could care less, but I want Dani to win.
caladon 09-11-2007, 03:02 PM Both Dick and Daniele will in all likelihood wind up in the final two spots. Zach was correct in assuming that neither would take him along to the final two. But, his major mistake was in putting both up initially. If he'd had any sense of strategy he would've realized that his only slim chance at the time of making it to the final two would've been to continue going along with the plan and put one of them up against Jameka. This could've put the Donatos in a more relaxed and perhaps over confident state and not as motivated to win the veto. In that way if he or Jameka had won the veto then the other gets backdoored, thereby eliminating at least one. As I stated, it was a slim chance, but a slim chance is always better than no chance. Now Zach's only remaining chance is to win the next HOH competition; which probably wont happen.
But as far as which should win, from a strategy standpoint, Dick played better than Daniele. Without him watching her back, she would've left the game before now.
Melonhead00 09-12-2007, 09:15 AM Zachary has won Stage 1 of 3, thus forcing both Donatos to face one another in Stage 2 of 3.
The elapsed time is 7.30' hours.minutes' (450 minutes)
Melonhead00 09-12-2007, 11:23 PM As of now, Stage 2 of 3 of the final HoH competition is underway
HuntingtonM15 09-13-2007, 12:37 PM As much as I don't want Dick or Dani to win, they definitely deserve to be in the final 2 more than Zach. Even though he stepped it up the past couple weeks, it doesn't excuse how he floated through the rest of the game. So I hope Zach will be walking out the door tonight.
HuntingtonM15 09-13-2007, 10:07 PM Well, I guess congrats to the Donato's! Love them or hate them, they played a good game.
I Love John Ritter 09-14-2007, 01:26 AM Knew that was going to happen. I'd prefer Dick to win over Daniele, but it's pretty much a given that she'll win.
RoryGilmore 09-14-2007, 08:24 AM I felt really bad for Dick after stage one. it doesnt really matter which one of them wins to me, they both deserve their spot in the final 2 and i'll be happy either way.
Socom 09-17-2007, 06:09 PM Honestly, if Danielle wins, she should at least split the prize money with Dick, as he played a large role in her success.

Stage 1 of 3: "The Bunny Hop" (Endurance): Zachary in 7.32'

Stage 3 of 3: "Jury Statements" (Question and Answer): Dick 3 correct, 3 missed

She can't technically "split" it, but she could purchase him gifts.
caladon 09-18-2007, 12:49 AM Given the respective personalities they've demonstrated, chances are that whomever wins will probably hold the money over the other persons head as a tool for control and the 2nd place winner will harbor resentment towards the other.
Aside from a few gender based variations, they're cut from the same cloth.

I think this is more likely to happen if Dani wins. If Dick wins, I can see him following through, at least paying for her education as he promised.
Corolla 09-18-2007, 11:49 AM In my opinion, this has been the best season yet.

I agree. I believe that he'd keep his word to his daughter.
I also believe it's within his personality to not let her forget that he did.

Oh yeah, he'd hang it over her head.
Scoobiedoo30 09-18-2007, 06:09 PM Dick is going to win

The "house" used for seasons 6-8 was the former sound stage of Yes, Dear.
Scoobiedoo30 10-06-2007, 02:08 AM that did not even look like The Yes Dear House on Big Brother 8 how could they make it Diffrent

It wasn't the house, it was the sound stage. All of the Yes, Dear sets were already gone. In reality, there is no Big Brother "house." It's really just a sound stage made to look like a house.
Scoobiedoo30 10-09-2007, 01:41 AM I did not know that
