When we last left Meadow Soprano, she was entering a diner in Bloomfield, N.J. just as "The Sopranos" family was gathering for dinner - and the show abruptly cut-to-black, leaving Tony's fate in the mind of the viewer.
If we don't really know what happened to Tony et al., at least we know that Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who played Meadow on the HBO series, has lined up her next acting job. There seems to be a theme here: Sigler has signed on for "The Gathering," a two-part, four-hour Lifetime miniseries in which she'll co-star with Peter Gallagher, Kristin Lehmann, Jenna Boyd and Peter Fonda.
The series, from David Eick ("Battlestar Galactica") and John Shiban ("The X- Files") encompasses the story of a doctor (Gallagher) searching for his wife (Lehmann) after she vanishes into thin air. Sigler will play a teacher who may have some clues into the wife's vanishing act. The miniseries is shooting in Toronto and will air in October.
