I've been looking forward to this since it was announced last year - I've even read the book while waiting for the miniseries lol The '77 team was my favorite Yankee team of all time. This minieries is really gonna take me back, just like the movie "Summer of Sam" did.

I've been enjoying this series. Excellent casting and dialog.

They're doing a fantastic job. I can't help but feel sad about Thurman Munson, knowing his fate. Oliver Platt is doing a bangup job of portraying Steinbrenner. Same for John Turturro as Billy Martin. The actor playing Reggie Jackson, Daniel Sunjata, is a regular cast member of Denis Leary's show, Rescue Me. There's some cool Red Sox and Fenway Park file footage in there too. Great show, very authentic!

I'm not so sure about that. I'm not really a sports fan, and certainly not a Yankee's fan, and I'm loving the series. I just root for my home teams. People also like big screen movies with a sport's theme.

Not sure of the premiere numbers (July 9), since it didn't start until like 11pm because of the Home Run Derby going long. The second episode (July 17) did 877,000 viewers only. The DVD is coming September 25.
