I'm 16, she's 20.....we only see each other about twice a year though since she lives in Kentucky, unfortunately, but we text all the time. I see nothing wrong with crushes with cousins. Just like Brian, when I was around 12 I had what I thought was a crush on my cousin. I thought he was the greatest guy ever. I was upset that he was my cousin because I knew it would never be. I look back and laugh silly over it. It goes to show what goes through kids' minds.

Feelings like that are very common. Nothing to feel guilty or uneasy abt.

However, if you really pursue it like "wanting to go further", then, that is something to have to worry abt.

As kids and teens we may feel certain things that as mature adults we know would not seem "normal", "okay" etc. It's not something to chastise a kid/teen for.

niki, the best thing to do about it is to find a way to let the crush go. it's not your fault you feel this way so don't let anyone make you feel like it is. telling her about it though would likely make her feel weird around you, which could easily destroy your friendship with her. you should look for other dating interests. i hope it all works out.

well its not something normal but hey it does happen. At one point I did when I was 12 but I knew that nothing was gonna happen I just really thought my cousin was a great person. Now that crush is long gone we are like best friends now. Don't worry about it but the incest thing you should worry about..
