View Full Version : Would you turn in your neighbor for illegally shooting off fireworks? MonarC 07-04-2007, 04:42 PM http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x263/kimtpics/8_14_7.gif Mr. Stefani 07-04-2007, 04:47 PM Not unless they were about to blow up my house. Otherwise mind your own business. Janice 07-04-2007, 04:54 PM Not unless they were about to blow up my house. Otherwise mind your own business. That's funny, and how I feel also. dawsongirl 07-04-2007, 05:03 PM I live down the street from a Sherrif's station. I figure if they can't hear it, then what good is a call gonna do. Plus, you can never tell where it's actually coming from. bandito 07-04-2007, 05:18 PM Normally no. But my neighbor is a real arsehole so yeah. Sterling Holobyte 07-04-2007, 05:24 PM Normally no. But my neighbor is a real arsehole so yeah. My neighbor's kids are real arseholes, but I still probably wouldn't. Unless I found some shrapnel in my yard. Besides, maybe they'll blow off their fingers or something; teach them a good lesson.;) bandito 07-04-2007, 05:32 PM My neighbor's kids are real arseholes, but I still probably wouldn't. Unless I found some shrapnel in my yard. Besides, maybe they'll blow off their fingers or something; teach them a good lesson.;)My neighbor is a total idiot instead of lighting fireworks in a normal safe action he goes balistic. Number 9 Dream 07-04-2007, 05:49 PM Nah, it's none of my business...plus, I think fireworks should be legal anyway. catlover79 07-04-2007, 06:14 PM Not unless they were about to blow up my house. Otherwise mind your own business. :yeahthat Lex Luthor 07-04-2007, 07:23 PM Unless they were aiming them at me, my house etc... or causing a fire (aiming at dry trees) I certainly would not rat out my neighbour. Kay Scarpetta 07-04-2007, 07:25 PM Nope... cause I just went to CT and bought a sh-tload this afternoon! MA sucks, so I have to go to CT or NH. They should be legal. (Most) people are sensible about them. The Idol 07-04-2007, 07:28 PM no way what do you think i am a police officer?? :p Mr. Television 07-04-2007, 07:34 PM absolutely not. My neighbors right now are shooting off fireworks and although it's driving me crazy because it feels like I'm in the line of fire, I believe they should have their fun. cmcb06 07-05-2007, 12:45 AM Dahling, If the guy is hot as hell single, and under 30 I will not report him if he agrees to have some fun. But if he won't join me in some fun events, I WILL REPORT HIS ARSE!!! BWAHAHAHA lol GoldenGirlsFan92 07-05-2007, 12:02 PM NO! Everyone shoots fireworks off. Unless they were trying to hurt themselves or property, then I wouldn't call the police on them. Crimson and Clover 07-05-2007, 02:41 PM Not unless they were about to blow up my house. Otherwise mind your own business. ditto Czas na Zywiec 07-05-2007, 04:20 PM Why spoil their fun. We always shot them off in our alley growing up and I would have been pissed if we had been reported. But everyone in our neighborhood was cool, so it never happened. It's only once a year, why ruin everyone's fun. Stormtracker TF 07-05-2007, 10:32 PM If I turned in every one of my neighbors who illegally have firework displays, it'd be mighty lonely in my neighborhood. And a lot less colorful on the 4th of July. :( Ireneparalegal 07-05-2007, 10:50 PM It was LOUD in our neighborhood last night. Thankfully, our dog is quiet and doesn't seem bothered by the noise. We kept him close with us as the firecrackers were exploding. I guess the $1000 fine the police threatened to fine people with didn't scare them one bit. What I find weird is that in our county, only one city is allowed to sell and shoot off fireworks. This small town is the worst place to shoot off fireworks because it is so dry, there are hills and mountains where one small spark can ignite a huge fire. It is one huge agricultural town. Why they allow that is beyond crazy. Nighthawk76 07-05-2007, 11:22 PM No, I would not. I've never been the kind of person to tell on people. I Love John Ritter 07-06-2007, 01:37 AM I wouldn't. I think it's cool to watch and they're not bothering anyone. AB 07-06-2007, 05:15 PM No, then they might report my son for riding his atv on the road. AKA 07-06-2007, 05:27 PM I thought about it last year, only because I was upset about people lighting off fireworks well after midnight (I had to wake up at 5 am for work) and being generally discourteous to their neighbors. I decided against it, though. The fine back home is more than $600, and that would just have been cruel. Where I live now, personal fireworks are legal. Seeing fireworks stands in grocery store parking lots is like a blast from the past for me (fireworks were banned back home after 1991).
