View Full Version : Alarm Clocks a thing of the Past?
TVFactFan 07-03-2007, 11:57 PM I was about to buy one because the one I have dies on me and then realized I can use the Reminder on my phone service to wake me up at 7am and as far as knowing what time it is My phone shows the Time, my VCR/DVD player shows the Time, and mt Cable Box shows the time. So do we really need Alarm clocks anymore?-lol
catlover79 07-04-2007, 12:29 AM As a night owl, I have never been a fan of alarm clocks. At least the alarm part. I love the big digital display clocks, just so you know what time it is.
Max Whittaker 07-04-2007, 12:41 AM I just use my phone. Indeed, as far as I'm concerned I don't need a traditional alarm.
Ireneparalegal 07-04-2007, 12:44 AM I have that feature on my phone service, but I prefer my Ipod player which has FM/AM Radio availability. I like falling asleep to music and waking up to music, and now with the Ipod player by my side, I can use my Ipod to wake up to.
Brieannas21 07-04-2007, 01:26 PM My body is my alarm clock I can't sleep past 5-5:30 no matter what.
Kay Scarpetta 07-04-2007, 04:34 PM I just set my phone, that is, if I'm not up the whole night anyway.
The Idol 07-04-2007, 08:07 PM i didnt even know they made them anymore lol i think only old people use them now :brent
PZelda 07-04-2007, 09:10 PM I still need an alarm clock. My phone doesn't have the ability to make my bed vibrate (they make alarm clocks for deaf/hard of hearing people that comes with a disc-shaped mattress vibrator that, duh, you slide under the mattress) and wake me up in the morning.
ponytail 07-05-2007, 06:52 AM I still use the old wind up alarm clock. I've been using one for years.

I Love John Ritter 07-06-2007, 01:30 AM I've never really needed an alarm but if I did I could just use my cell phone--it's loud enough to wake me up.
Before I moved from Spokane, I set my television set in my bedroom to turn on at a certain time in the morning. Now I use the alarm clock on my cell phone.
As a night owl, I have never been a fan of alarm clocks. At least the alarm part. I love the big digital display clocks, just so you know what time it is.
I too like those big red numbers, I can even see them from the next room. I also keep a wind up alarm clock in case the electricity goes off. But I don't hardly ever use them since I usually wake up on my own.:)
freshprinceofLA 07-06-2007, 03:15 PM I still use an alarm clock to wake me up for school. Sometimes when I set my cellphone alarm it doesn't go off so i set the clock which has not failed me yet.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 07-06-2007, 03:58 PM At school I set my phone alarm on vibrate and put it under my pillow.
At home, I use my TV. It has an alarm feature. I love it.
Coffeecup 07-06-2007, 06:56 PM Old people. Who's calling me old? Yes I use a alarm clock. bought maybe 40 years ago and works just great. Not one of digitals so if the power go out only for a few minutes I don't have to reset. Old people indeed.
TheHappyBurgerMeister 07-06-2007, 10:49 PM I have always used an alarm clock. Actually it's a digital clock radio. I never wake up to an alarm (that's very annoying). I wake up to the radio. I always HAVE to have a digital clock in my room cuz when I wake up in the night I like to look at what time it is.
