Does anyone have any good recommendations on Vegas shows?

I am looking through some online calendar of events, and I have one free evening on the 6th of July (this coming Friday) where I want to watch a couple of the cheaper shows to keep me awake. I am planning on staying up ALL night long so that I will be up and ready very early on the 7th of July (the wedding morning in the desert), so I want some good recommendations.

I have seen the Cirque de Soleil performances, but they are too expensive for what I want to pay. There are some celebrity impersonations, improv, magic shows, music concerts, and even some musicals. I am more interested in the musicals and in the improv. I saw that Mamma Mia! is also going to be there, and I saw the show here locally. I wouldn't mind seeing it again if it's playing on the 6th. Hehe...

Can anyone suggest any good things to see?

The celebrity impersonations, improv, magic shows, music concerts, and musicals all sound good. I hope that whatever you see you enjoy. Hopefully they will be in your price range and you will have no problem staying awake. Have fun. :)
Thanks, Jenny! :D I poked around and found a concert for Stomp for only $50! So, I bought a ticket for the 8:30 p.m. show! :D I can't wait!! I like percussion music, so this will keep me awake.

The Stomp concert rocked, by the way! :D These are such entertaining people! They incorporated some comedy which was really nice, but they mimed it all. There was never anything in audio verbal, which makes it even more creative. The show was 1.5 hours long, and I couldn't take any pictures of the actual performance. It wasn't allowed.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Vegas. I thoroughly enjoyed it when we went there last year.

I would recommend some comedy shows like Carrot Top or Penn & Teller, but it looks like you want musicals. Not my cup of tea. I want to see Prince at the Rio Hotel this year.

Oh, I have already returned since two weeks ago. ;) I was just following up on this thread. Hehe...

I did see Carrot Top was performing the following week, so I missed out on him. Yeah, I'd like to check him out one of these days. I know he's quite entertaining. :)
