View Full Version : Hair!
Georgia's on my Mind 07-02-2007, 02:35 AM okay...tell me all about your hair. what products do you use? shampoo? tell me everything. I want to know your secrets! lol
and also does anyone know how one would go about doing this hairstyle?
dawsongirl 07-02-2007, 03:56 AM Shampoo: right now Back to Basics for color-treated hair. Don't like it much though because it doesn't lather much. Before that was Tigi Catwalk Fashionista. I change every now and then.
Conditioner: Back to Basics...the one in the red bottle. High moisture, because my seems really dried out to me. Stuff works well.
I also use Paul Mitchell styling foam and leave-in conditioner. I flat iron it a lot.
Generally, I'm terrible and doing my hair though. And it's naturally wavy (non-uniformly), so unless I dry it good, it looks like crap. Not that that always keeps it straight...it goes wavy at the first hint of moisture. Argh.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 07-02-2007, 10:37 AM I use TresSemme shampoo and conditioner. Because it's cheap and comes in big bottles.
I also get a relaxer put on my hair every 6-ish months because it's so thick and poofy and basically unmanageable without it. And I flat iron it every day.
Number 9 Dream 07-02-2007, 11:35 AM I usually use whatever's in there, but I really like John Freda's Radiant Red (for color-treated red hair) and Biolage (even though it's mad expensive). My hair tends to get oily really fast, so most of the time I don't even use conditioners (only when it's a tangled mess).
Already Gone 07-02-2007, 11:43 AM I use any shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair (dark brown/black).
My hair is short and layered so it's easier to manage. I just brush it and go.
MonarC 07-02-2007, 01:22 PM I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner. Their products are great. Also if you rince your hair with cold water after you condition it makes your hair shiny.

We use Prell shampoo and I use Suave conditioner on the ends of my hair only. I don't like having a ton of hair products, I do use a little Rave hairspray after I brush out my hair.
dawsongirl 07-02-2007, 09:59 PM and Biolage (even though it's mad expensive).
Oh I know. I just paid $22 for a bottle of Back to Basics conditioner. But unlike store stuff, it doesn't leave waxy buildup behind. After a long time of using Thermasilk, and then seeing the wax my stylist pulled off my hair...holy crap. $22 is worth it.
MonarC 07-03-2007, 09:57 AM $22.00 for conditioner? Damn. Pantene works great and it's only $4.
catlover79 07-03-2007, 09:58 AM I love Biolage shampoo & conditioner - it smells like apples and always makes my hair feel so clean and light!! :D
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-05-2007, 02:38 PM I use Jonathan Products and shampoo/conditioner. I also like Very Sexy shampoo/conditioner by Victorias Secret. And I use Nexxus too. I use a lot of BedHead products, they are amazing.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 07-05-2007, 11:13 PM I dunno, I use whatever my mom buys. It's usually different each time and I'm fine with that, but I think Pantene works the best. It was some type for frizzy hair I think, and I liked it. I always use citre shine serum on my wet hair and put mousse in it (again, different all the time) both help it to dry curly instead of completely puffy. Sometimes I'll curl it, but a lot of the time all I have to do is that and just let it dry, and it dries fine along with blow drying. I don't really have to do much else, and everyone tells me they love my hair. I don't see what's so amazing about it but hey, if other people like it that's cool.
I Love John Ritter 07-06-2007, 01:55 AM I use whatever shampoo and whatever conditioner. I don't have a preference. My hair goes past my waist. I put it up in a pony tail everyday after getting out of the shower. After it's in a pony tail, I twist it while it's wet and it dries and stays in a single, long curl. It takes me about a minute every morning to do my hair. I've basically worn it up in a ponytail for my entire life. I know it's bad, but I do it anyway. My hair is damaged because of it but I hate my hair because it's frizzy and therefore do not make much of an effort with it.

I use V05, baby. $.99 at the grocery store. And I use LA Looks curl goop.
TheHappyBurgerMeister 07-06-2007, 10:55 PM I found the best hair product (for MY hair at least). It's called Aveda Elements Finishing Solution. My hairdresser introduced it to me like 2 years ago. You smooth it on your dry hair to smooth out flyaways. It works great for me! It's $20 for an 8 oz bottle, but it lasts a very long time because you use so little at a time. I also use an Aveda foaming leave-in conditioner. As for shampoo and conditioner, it really doesn't matter to me as long as I have those first 2 products. At the moment it's Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight (shampoo) and Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine (conditioner).
Courtnee 07-08-2007, 06:00 PM Herbal Essenses stuff: "none of your frizziness"...The BX didn't have the kind for straight hair so I just got that. :(
