No surprise here-the Reds have had problems for a long time-they're currently 31-51. Their achilles heel is their bullpen-it's horrible. That team needs to be fixed, very badly.

I remember last year when the Yankees were eliminated by the Tigers in the first round of the playoffs (divisional playoffs?) there was talk of Joe Torre taking the Reds' job because his wife lives in or is from Cincinnati. Perhaps Joe could leave the Yankees and go to the Reds! Strike while the iron is hot, I'll say!

Possibly, if the Yankees miss the postseason and finish with a losing record. Wouldn't it be ironic for Joe Torre's wife, Ali, to return to her native Cincinnati? If that happens, let's hope Joe Torre has better success with the Reds than he did when he managed the Cardinals in the early 1990s. Truthfully speaking, that still remains to be seen.
