Hello, everybody! :)
Wait until you hear this. "Here's the story..." LOL No pun intended. :) Wait, who the hell am I kidding. Yes it was. ;) A year and a half ago, I met Christopher Knight at a local convention. Now, I had been to the hotel in which the convention was held at & there is this HUGE art deco staircase in the lobby. I had attended things there for a number of years & each time I walked past it, I couldn't help of thinking about the infamous Brady Bunch staircase pose. I said, I'd love to recreate that one day, with either my friends or an original brandy bunch cast member.
Well, dreams do come true. LOL When I found out that Peter Brady was going to be there, so did I. I had told certain friends of mine what I had always wanted to do and they thought I was crazy. They are like, "You can ask him, but he'll NEVER do it in a million years...a billion years." LOL :) So, to make a long story short, or a short story long in this case, we had a little bet. It was just a friendly bet though, no money involved. The people who gave me the challenge were from another message board that I frequent. Then, there were the others who actually went with me to the convention. I told them my idea and they were like, "If he'll do it, we'll do it." I was like "Good, because, I am gonna look pretty stupid on the stairs with Chris all by myself." LOL
So, to go on with the story of the man named Brady, I met him and got a personally autographed pictures of him as Peter Brady. He was so very nice & kind. I told him I was a big fan and proceeded to put my cell phone up to his ear and play my Brady Bunch ring tone for him. He was like, "You really are a big fan, aren't you?" I then told him about the bet and he couldn't have been nicer. I felt like Lucy Ricardo in I Love Lucy. It actually felt like a Brady Bunch storyline/plot, though. I told him about the bet and he was like, "When, where?" He was like, but we need to find a staircase. I was like, "Done! I already found it." He said, "Just wait until my line dies down and the convention's over and then we'll do it together."
So, after everything was over, my friends and I went over to his table and got him. We went to the staircase and assumed our positions on the stairs. I asked him if it was right and he reasambles/rearranged us accordingly. So, we got people to take our pictures with our cameras, with my Brady Bunch ring tone in the background. We put out hands on the banister and gave our big Brady smiles! It was so surreal. Talk about an unforgettable experience. I thanked him profusely and he was like "No problem." It is something I will always remember and never forget as long as I live.
