Because of the Brady Bunch my children now quote Shakespeare. "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo. Deny thy father, and refuse thy name. . . ."

BTW, a couple days ago the kids were playing and I heard my son say to his sister, "Get away from me you suave, hypnotic charmer!"

Why would he be proud? Was Robert Reed a Shakespearean actor or something?

Cute story! Yes, I'm sure he would be proud. Robert Reed did many Shakespeare plays. On his gravestone is the famous quote "Goodnight sweet prince, may flocks of angels sing thee to thy rest" from Hamlet.

I've heard that he performed a lot of Shakespeare around the set too. :)

I think the writers were making fun of him by naming the rabbits Romeo and Juliet and having them turn out to both be males.

Yeah, it may have been an inside joke.

Yeah but do they make the mistake of saying "who goes there" before they say "Hark"?
