What part of the world/america/I don't know says route like "(r)out(e)" and who says it so it rhymes kinda like "boot". (root)

Same with about? (aboot)

Most people I know pronounce route & about to rhyme with shout but I also know a few that pronounce route to rhyme with boot. I've never heard of anyone rhyming about with boot.
