I do all the time. We have a spare room with shelves, and it looks like a mini-mart in there. I make a killing at CVS every week, with their store specials and coupons. I've got about 12 bottles of shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc. I've got the bulk packs of paper towels, toilet paper, tissues. Tons of pasta, Progresso soup, big cans of coffee, etc.

I find that sales run in cycles, so basically I get almost everything on sale. My favorite are the BOGOs (Buy One, Get One Free). If I have a coupon for the item I'm paying for on a BOGO, I'm in heaven. :angel:

I love looking at the weekly circulars for CVS and the grocery store. It's sort of like a hobby. I map it all out like a General, lol.

I try to. I like to buy things like household cleaners and detergents in bulk or like you say, if they are BOGO's then I will get A LOT OF THEM. I have to have things to clean around the house and rarely do I run out of anything related to that.

Same thing with toilet paper and paper towels.

Unfortunatly, I have very little space in my teeny tiny apartment to store bulk items. An 8 pack of tiolet paper will just not fit under my bathroom sink. If smaller items are on sale, I will get those.

And now for some reason my local supermarket is now selling the TP brand that I prefer in the gigantic multi bulk pack only.

Yup.......Got shelves in the cold cellar downstairs and a pantry in the kitchen, full of 3 of this, 5 of that.....this spring I bought $30 worth of tuna on sale...should do me for the summer! :D

I love going to CVS and the first thing I see is a table or buggy full of stuff marked 90% off. A few weeks ago, I went there to get some prescriptions refilled and there was a buggy full of various items including similac, soap, shampoo, shaving gel, dvd's, cd's cold & cough medicine etc and all of it was 90% off.

I loaded my buggy with what I wanted and then went to the pharmacy to pay for the meds. Here's a word of advice, If you get your meds at CVS, Always pay for them first and be sure to use your extra-care card. When you do this, You will usually get a coupon to use elsewhere in the store.

After paying for the meds, I got a coupon good for $9.00 off any store purchase plus I had another $5.00 coupon that I had not yet used. I took my buggy to the cashier and the total before the discount was $194.00 and some change. After the discount, It was just over $19.00 then I gave her the coupons which brought it down to about $5.40.

Among the items purchased were 2 Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Champions dvd's which I got for $2.99 each and sold them on eBay for $15.00 each. I also got 24 cans of similac for .30 each and they still had over a year to go before they expired. I sold the similac on eBay for $48.00 so after paying roughly $5.40 for all that stuff, I made almost $75.00 off of it plus all my other items were free.

Here's another tip. If your grocery store doubles or triples coupons, Check out their sale paper and then go to eBay and purchase coupons for any products you don't already have them for. People who sell coupons normally do so in bulk and you can save big time by buying them on eBay. The only thing you have to worry about is getting them before the sale ends so it's best to find them the same day and use buy it now and Paypal.

One of our stores was doubling coupons and I had 20 that were good for .40 off one 2 litre Coke product and they were on sale that week for .89 So I wound up getting them for .09 each plus tax.

Thanks so much for your help, Janice. We don't have a Market basket down here. I love coupons, I only buy things if they are on sale. I don't know if stop and shop has this near you but at mine, if you spend $50, you can get 10 cents off gas...such a big savings there.

We have that gas savings at Stop&Shop as well. Be careful with S&S. I shopped there for decades until last year when I finally started shopping at Market Basket. A couple of quick comparisons. A quart of light cream cost $1.89 at MB, but $3.49 at S&S. Our cats love those Temptations treats. MB, $1.29....S&S, $1.99. I can't believe the savings. Their MB brand products are very good too. It's a shame there are none in your area. What S&S does is offer a lot of BOGOs, but they're soaking customers on most everything else.

I have a closet full of toilet paper and paper towels. Cupboards full of salad dressings and canned vegetables. My dad did the same thing. Maybe it's a "guy" thing?:confused:

I stock up on certain things when they're on sale too. I very seldom run out of anything. I guess thats why my sister-in-law next door is always borrowing stuff from me, she thinks I'm Walmart.

You can get a lot of household products from your dollar store. I don't know how many people here has dollars stores in their areas. We have Dollar Trees, and Family Dollar, just to name a few. With those stores, you can get stuff for a dollar that you pay three times as much like a CVS or Rite Aid.

No, not usually. Well, only if my dad finds a really super deal on something then he'll get it and store it away until we need it. He absolutely loves couponing and when super deals come along!

In a word: YES!! I always stock up - all the time. That way I don't have to shop as often. :D

I went to CVS today. I had a coupon for $10 off any $50 order. I got a few BOGOs and had coupons for them as well. Long story short. Before savings, my order was $52, and all I had to pay was $14. I also had $2 Extra Bucks on my receipt, so it's really like spending $12. That's the best I've done in quite a while. It was almost like shoplifting, lol.

Yea my parents do that cause they grow tired of having to make trips to the store over and over again. We have tons of cleaning products, toilet paper, soaps, smuckers lemonade, water bottles and other things.
