Which Do You Prefer Three's Company Or Friends?

No brainer there...THREE'S COMPANY. Actually, I'd take anything over FRIENDS any day.

because When i Watch Three's Company I Watch For Jack,Janet,Terry,Chrissy,Larry,Mr Furley And The Roper-s.
i watch Friends only for Chandler,Phoebe And Monica.

There's no comparison, like others have said, THREE'S COMPANY BABY!!! :)

While I love Friends, Three's Company is a classic, and one of my all-time favorites!! :) The comedy transcends time!! :)

I'll take Three's Company anytime, it's a classic now.

I watched Friends a lot during its original run, and I liked the show. Still, it's Three Company all the way with me.

I like both shows, but I chose Three's Company because its a classic and super funny.

What the hell was the appeal of Friends since I've tried to watch a few times and it is NOT EVEN FUNNY!!

WHY do people like Friends because it SIMPLY IS NOT FUNNY!!!

Obviously Friends is not even in the same universe as Three's Company since TC blows away practically everyone else!

I wonder if my opinion would change if I was actually from the 70's and Three's Company was a new show. I prefer Friends. I think it's funnier. I do like Three's Company, but I can't watch it as much as I can watch Friends.

Two completely different shows. But I find I can only watch shows like 3's in very short spurts. They have no heart and are merely products of their time. Friends on the other hand is more than just a screwball comedy and as an "adult" I prefer that. It's really no contest; at it's funniest they are generally equal but Friends has much much more meat to it at the end of the day.

Surprised it's not closer. I finally came to the conclusion I like Friends more than Seinfeld and I see this softball thread? :)

I'm very familiar with Three's Company and it's one of my favorites. Friends I'm really not familiar with at all. It's one of those shows I keep meaning to check out but I just haven't so far.

Ross and Racheal were boyfriend and girlfriend. In fact he had a crush on her for years before they actually did anything. Chandler and Monica also were b/f and g/f. "All they did was sleep with each other?" Not on the Friends I watched.

Actually this comparison of shows was just a bad set up to begin with. TC was all about innuendo and misinterpretation and little else. Friend's had "substance".

Three's Company. Always loved it, always will.

I would say Friends is a better show overall, particularly the first five seasons.

For its ten year run, the original cast remained intact. And it was a true ensemble, with all the characters getting an equal amount of storylines.

And while the cast's salary negotiations were controversial, they remained united when they asked for a pay raise. They all got the same amount and as such, kept everyone's egos on an even keel.

Three's Company was great the first three seasons, but once The Ropers left with Chrissy following suit the next season, it was never the same afterward. I liked Terri, but the magic was gone.

And Friends gave props to Three's Company. In one episode, they're watching TC and someone said "this is the episode with the misunderstanding.";)

It's not even close....Three's Company by far. I'd rather watch a test pattern than Friends.

Since I dont care for Friends--I will go with Three's Company of which I have the first 3 seasons on DVD.

Thought Friends was more consistently funny and the humour more developed, I just love Three's Company for it's simplicity. The nostalgic factor is a big winner too! The 70s/80s were untouchable for that feelgood factor.

Three's Company is one of my all time favorite shows. I don't like Friends at all!

both shows suffered from repeating storylines and turning their characters into caricatures, but I think I like Friends just a tad more, both shows are great tho IMO

Three's Company. I have loved it since I was 9 years old.

That was easy, Three's Company is so much funnier than Friends. I have the complete 8 seasons on DVD of Three's Company. John Ritter was so funny. I can put in a DVD and still laugh over the same thing.

Friends is cool, but half of the characters annoy me - Three's Company is my vote.
