Bizarre Stamos Interviews Cause a Stir

(June 27) -- John Stamos is making headlines across the globe, but unfortunately for him, it isn't thanks to a new acting gig.
The 'ER' star was in Australia recently promoting his show 'ER,' and gave two television interviews in which blatantly slurs his words and often looks confused and inattentive.
After seeing Stamos' erratic behavior, Channel 9, which airs 'ER' in Australia, decided to send the star home early while nixing another planned interview.
Stamos, upon landing in Los Angeles, apologized for his condition, saying jet lag was to blame.
His publicist, Lewis Kay, issued the following statement: "John has been traveling extensively for the past few weeks in Greece, Egypt and Tokyo and had a difficult time adjusting to the time difference in Australia, which in turn led to many sleepless nights since his arrival. He acknowledges that his behaviour (while in Sydney) was completely out of character during these interviews and apologises."
The Daily Telegraph reports that a publicity insider said Stamos "apparently didn't go to bed from 2:30 AM on Monday until he was put on plane on Tuesday afternoon," adding that he was seen at several bars and a strip club.
The Stamos interviews are eerily similar to several recent interviews given by 'American Idol' host Paula Abdul. In the interviews, Abdul often seems incoherent and dazed.
