Scoobiedoo30 06-25-2007, 09:28 PM Yes Mel and Tommy sure did look like Father and son to me as well catlover79 06-26-2007, 01:03 AM Mel and Tommy sure did have a great relationship. I read on a couple of Alice websites that Vic Tayback and Phillip McKeon were just as close in real life. Mr. Tayback had a son Phillip's age, and the three of them would go to ballgames and the like. Mr. McKeon stated how devastated he was when Mr. Tayback died suddenly back in 1990. Watching them together on the screen, I can certainly understand. :( *ROGER* 06-26-2007, 02:02 AM Too me, mel & tommy are like father & son to be, I Wish tommy would be a fry cook just like Mel. Tommy would need one of those Navy beenie things, a white shirt, white pants, a spatula, and a nasty attitude! LOL! They're both so funny!  FredScuttle 06-26-2007, 09:38 AM Tommy would need one of those Navy beenie things, a white shirt, white pants, a spatula, and a nasty attitude! LOL! They're both so funny!  I think there was an episode (they showed a clip on the opening sequence anyway...not sure if those are always from episodes), on a later episode, where Tommy was wearing the white hat, and flipped a pancake onto a dish. I don't remember which season it was, probably 8th or 9th. Scoobiedoo30 06-26-2007, 10:11 AM I do remeber that I think it was in the 9th season afijamesy2k 06-27-2007, 09:32 PM I think there was an episode (they showed a clip on the opening sequence anyway...not sure if those are always from episodes), on a later episode, where Tommy was wearing the white hat, and flipped a pancake onto a dish. Scoobiedoo30 06-28-2007, 01:06 AM witch episode is that one Sammy Reed 06-28-2007, 08:22 AM "After Mel's Gone" was a 6th-season episode where, quoting from tv.com, "Mel becomes despondent when he realizes he has no heirs." Did this have Tommy wearing Mel's hat and flipping a pancake? afijamesy2k 06-28-2007, 08:02 PM "After Mel's Gone" was a 6th-season episode where, quoting from tv.com, "Mel becomes despondent when he realizes he has no heirs." Did this have Tommy wearing Mel's hat and flipping a pancake? Yes it does. and Mel was also wearing a Hat as well, the same cooking hat. Man I Wish Tommy was a cook though, just like Mel. Scoobiedoo30 06-29-2007, 06:53 PM Toomy look like the son Mel nervery had afijamesy2k 07-02-2007, 05:31 PM They just need to show this episode. catlover79 11-26-2007, 12:21 AM They just need to show this episode. :yeahthat I'd certainly like to see it. tv star collector 11-26-2007, 09:34 AM They did have a great on-screen relationship. It's nice to hear that they also were close off-screen, as well. It reminds me of Carroll O'Connor and Sally Struthers (who had lost her real father). He was like a second father to her. |
