in the ep-"Trust me". Watched this season 4 ep last night on DVD and Clair was telling Cliff about some guy who was uncomfortable with his wife being around handsome men at her job.

So Clair says to Cliff"would you trust me if I was working late on a case with an attractive man?

And Cliff said would you trust me Clair if the TV broke down and they sent a 19 year girl over to fix the TV and the 19 year old says to him-"I don't think i can work on this TV unless I take all my clothes off"

HUH??-lol Who put that in the script? Little creepy for a 52 year old man to use that kind of example

She would be a legal adult. I live in TX and I grew up seeing some of my dads friends with young things on their arms. Nothing new, not a shocking comment.

I think it's the whole middle age man and young girl fantasy that old men have.

Cliff never said anything about dating, he said that she would take her clothes off

So it the same thing, and Cliff never said that he would do anything with the woman. It's just that at 19 everything is still sitting high and perky.

And that' what made it creepy, a 52 year old man having a fantasy about being in front of a naked 19 year old girl-lol

It was a "what if" question, cliff didn't show interest. Nothing wrong with that. Now if he would have said a 16 yr old or a 17 yr old then I would find that VERY odd and strange.

Come on - it was creepy! This here is supposed to be a family show and they're talking about a middle aged man having fantasies about a girl that isn't even allowed to drink yet?

He had no fantasy, he said "What if"

Even in today's world, if a 50 yr old man saw a BEAUTIFUL 19 yrold walking down the street, lord knows that he would look and keep looking as she's walking by. And he's saying in his head "I would hit that"

What's the difference?

LOL-Brie I'm just saying the writers could have included the age 25 and not any age with a TEEN attached to it even if it was 19.

So it's ok for you to look at a 19 yr old that way????? I just don't see the big deal, it's not like he's a big ol’ pedophile. And he never said that he would be interested, he said "What If".

I think using a 19-year old as an example, even a 'what if', is creepy. It could have been worded without citing an age..."a pretty young woman", something like that. I wonder about those writers sometimes, lol.

And Cliff said would you trust me Clair if the TV broke down and they sent a 19 year girl over to fix the TV and the 19 year old says to him-"I don't think i can work on this TV unless I take all my clothes off" puke:

She was a teenager for godsakes! Would you want your 9 year old girl, who's watching this episode with you, hearing this on The Cosby Show?

This is what I found creepy...

The episode of the 50th anniversary of the grandparents where Cliff states he tried to call his parents the night before but they didn't answer the phone and he surmised they must have been asleep. Grandpa says, "No." Then Cliff says, "Oh you must have been watching a late night movie." Grandpa Huxtable and his wife both say, "No." with these look on their faces.
The grandparents had been doing the "nasty" but they didn't come right out and say it. Cliff figured it out and he and Claire looked at each other and got a bit embarrassed. Then Claire asks Grandma Huxtable "Can I expect the same out of him? (referring to Cliff)" And Grandma Huxtable tells her yes.

I don't know abt anyone else, but why did Bill Cosby feel the need to let the audience know this information? It is a family show and he wants the audience to know that older people do the "wild thing"?  Now THAT to me is creepy.

Glad you agree. I mean, no matter how many times I have seen that episode, that scene is just gross. puke: I can see if it was the show COSBY, but this was THE COSBY SHOW, a family show, and no one needs to know what those old folks did the night before...pleeeeeeeeeze.
