Hello! I Love Lucy!

There are so many threads on this site! I hope I don't repeat a question that has already been addressed.

Would someone please tell me what the I Love Lucy pilot was about?

First of all, welcome! It is always great to have a new member to inject some new life. On this particular board, there are several members who would pounce on a question or topic. Bring it on!!!!

In regard to the pilot:

I Love Lucy first started on radio as "My Favorite Husband." It starred Lucille Ball and Richard Denning as Liz and George Cooper.

When they brought it to TV, they used Lucille's real-life husband and made him a bandleader. The pilot was in an apartment in Manhattan. They used Lucy and Desi's vaudeville act, "The Professor." Also included was "Pepito" and several other themes which would be used later in the series. The apartment was different (cardboard walls but a great skyline view), and there were no Mertzes. Ricky's band was smaller.
