Hi,

As a returning member of the Sitcoms Online message boards, my first post here concerns that the SO site should add more vintage TV station schedules (those gleaned from such sources including TV Guide and local newspapers).

Already there is one for TBS, which is at:
http://www.sitcomsonline.com/TBSLog1980-Present.txt

But, in the same vein as the link mentioned above, I would like to see vintage schedules for such channels as:

(Superstation) WGN-TV 9 (superstation status founded 1978)
USA Network (founded 1980, original name of station was Madison Square Garden Network)
Arts & Entertainment (A&E) Network (founded 1984)
Nickelodeon / Nick at Nite (Nick founded in 1979 as Pinwheel Network, present name adopted 1981; NaN founded 1982, officially named in 1985)
Lifetime TV (founded 1984)
Turner Network Television (founded 1988)
Cartoon Network (founded 1992; the primary reason for its founding was TBS' acquisition of the Hanna-Barbera library from the USA Network)
United Paramount Network (founded 1995)

Thank you,

Ben

Yes, that is exactly why I made this request. For research/historical purposes.

Hi Ben,

I found a site that has lots (and I do mean lots!) of vintage TV schedules for stations all across North America going as far back as 1952! Take a look:

That should give you more than enough information. Good luck with your research.

I've added a sub-forum for Classic TV Schedules (mostly pre-2000).

I'm still moving some threads in the General TV section over there. It will be good to keep them organized in one section.
