Title: To Do the Right Thing
Setting: The living room. Tootie and Natalie are playing cards and Blair is Admiring herself in her portable mirror.

Blair: Oh Blair, why art tho so beautiful?

Natalie: Tootie I just caught you red handed cheating!

Tootie: What?! Me? Cheating?! You gotta be kidding! I was just organizing our pile of cards!

(Someone knocks on the door)

Blair: I'll get it. (Opens door and sees a police officer holding Jo by the arm. Jo has a black eye and her uniform is torn.)

Police Officer: Hi..is Mrs. Edna Garett home?

Blair: Um yeah..I'll go get her. (Walks into kitchen)

Blair: Mrs. Garett? A police officer is at the door with Jo..he wants to talk to you.

Mrs. Garett: Oh dear..hold on, hold on. (Walks to front door) Can I help you?

Police Officer: Yes..We found this girl fighting with a group of boys down the street. She claims you know her?

Tootie: Uh oh..there's gonna be troubleeeeeeee.....

Mrs. Garett: Yes..I know her.

Police Officer: Okay mam. We just wanted to make sure she wouldn't go off into another fight and that she had somewhere to go.

Mrs. Garett: Thank you. (Jo goes inside and the police officer leaves) Jo what happened?!

Jo: (Sighs) It's a long story. There was this group of boys down the street and they were picking on what looked like a 7 or 8 year old. I had to do something..they might of hurt him!

Mrs. Garett: Jo you could get expelled for this!

Jo: I know, I know and I deserve it..but I couldn't let that poor kid get hurt! What would you do if you saw a little kid getting pushed around by a punch of 18 year olds?

Mrs. Garett: I would call the police!

Jo: But what if it were too late and they had already done something?

Mrs. Garett: Jo, I know you were just trying to do the right thing. But sometimes the right thing is not what you think it is. I am going to have to aware Mr. Parker about this. Um..girls can you please leave the room? (Blair, Natalie, and Tootie leave the room and go upstairs.)

Jo: (Sigh) Look I'm sorry--if I was just trying to help him! Could you please not tell Mr. Parker about this?

Mrs. Garret: No, Jo. It isn't like you didn't get hurt. You have a black eye and your uniform is all wripped up!

Jo: But he will probably expell me!!

Mrs. Garett: No he won't--not if you tell the truth and don't hide anything from him! Now go upstairs. I am going to call Mr. Parker now and tell him.

Jo: Okay..(walks upstairs into the girl's room)

Ok I am gonna go now..I will type the rest of it when I have more time ok? Byebye..write what you think of it so far!

(In the Girl's Bedroom)

Jo: God..I thought I was doing the right thing!

Blair: The right thing was to--

Jo: Was to what..let them kill the poor kid? I couldn't bare to let him get hurt like that--I told you guys that a hundred times!

(From Downstairs)

Mrs. Garett: Jo..come down here please! Mr. Pareker is here!

Blair: Good luck.

Jo: (Sighs and walks downstairs)

(Downstairs)

Mr. Parker: Jo..please take a seat.

(Jo sits in the middle of Mrs. Garett and Mr. Parker)

Mr. Parker: Now..Jo..I know you were just trying to do the right thing. But this was very serious. Not the fact that you wanted to save the child..but the fact that you got involved in a fight. This is going to require serious consequenses.

Jo (Sigh): I know sir..but..

Mr. Parker: I am going to have to give you expelltion.

Jo: WHAT?! MRS. GARETT YOU TOLD ME IF I TOLD THE TRUTH HE WOULDN'T!

Mrs. Garett: Jo--I-- (Jo runs upstairs)

I am going now..I will write more later..how is it?

I am back..here is some more!

(15 minutes pass. Jo is upstairs in the girl's room. She is very mad and will not talk to anyone. All the girls have now left the room.)

Jo: (Thinking to herself) Well..if he wants me to leave the school..I might as well just get the hard part over. (Jo gets out a luggage. She packs her things and ties a bunch of blankets together so it forms a rope. She climbs out of the window and is gone.)

(A Short while later)

Blair (Walks in room and notices the open window and rope): Um..Jo? Oh no..(Yells) Mrs. Garett!

Mrs. Garett: (Runs into room) What is it?

Blair: Jo is gone!

Mrs. Garett: (Gasps)

(Jo is walking down the street when she notices the same group of boys that were picking on the little kid)

Jo: Oh god..

Boys: Hey look! Its the girl again! The one who we gave a black eye to! Let's get her! (Begins to chase her)

Jo: Oh great..(runs, with the boys following. She turns around the corner fast but the boys are behind her. She comes to a dead end. (Yells outloud) Oh no!

Boys: Haha..looks like we finally got ya!

Jo: (Notices the brick wall can be climed over. She jumps onto it and jumps off the ledge and begins to run more. She then notices the same kid she saved from the boys, and a car was coming straight toward him. Jo jumps in front of him, puching him out of the way, and she takes a big hit from the car, causing her to tumble down on the ground.)

Ok..I hope you like it! I am going..how is it? Buhbye!!!!

You can't keep leaving us like this! The suspense is killing me!

Ok..this is just about the rest of the entire story.

(Mrs. Garett gets a call that Jo is in acoma. She and the girls race to the hospital and are allwed to visit her in her room one at a time while she is still in acoma. Blair goes in first.)

Blair (Walks in and sits on her bedside): Jo...I know you probably can't hear me right now, but there are a few things I wanna tell you. Ever since you came to Eastland, we were like best friends. Even though we had alot oo fights and dissagreements..we were always there for each other. Right now I just want you to know that i tihnk your the most bravest person I ever met. Risking your live for that tiny kid? That takes alot of guts. You to me is like a flower..everyone is. And as life goes by, each pedal falls off...slowly..one at a time. And i do NOT....(gets emotional) want all those pedals gone so early.

(Blair leaves and each of the girls take turns coming in, until finally Mrs. Garett comes in.)

Mrs. Garett: (Sighs and sits on her bedside, like Blair did). Jo--I was wrong. I feel like this is all my fault. I should of trusted you and not told Mr. Parker, but..but..but I didn't know what to do! This never happened! A girl never came into the school with a torn uniform and black eye. So, as an apology, I will not allow you to be expelled.

Nurse: Visiting hours are over mam!

Mrs. Garett: (Walking out) oh and Jo..this time you DID do the right thing. (Leaves)

(The next day. Jo is now awake and fine. Mr. Parker comes and visits her in her room.)

Mr. Parker: Hello, Jo.

Jo: Hi Mr. Parker..

Mr. Parker: Jo, I have done alot of thinking, and I have decided I will not expell you. You were brave..and willing to do anything to save that child, and that is how protective we at Eastland are for you. So Jo, It looks like your off the hook. (Smiles)

Jo: (Smiles) Thank you. (Mr. Parker leaves and all the girls come in with Mrs. Garett. They say hello, and each of them hugs Jo. As they leave, Jo makes a remark to Blair. She says http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Oh yeah and Blair...nothings making me loose a petal on my flower. (They both smile and Blair leaves)

umm.... i think that one was already written by someone else and i REALLY dont think it is right for you to copy someone's idea and the title too!! i think that it is EXTREAMLY RUDE OF YOU to copy that script and only slightly change the plot
the story was originally written by a friend of mine know tho this board as Mustang Mimi 04 if you feel that you MUST copy someone elses work, shouldn't you at least have the decensy to ASK FIRST????

Nope- I don't know who BlairWarner9436 is but I certainly am not that person. Therefore they copied me. You could say I'm slightly irked about this. I am proud of my writings and its not right for someone to take my ideas, change them slightly, then take credit for it. I am quite disappointed!
