I've always assumed that The Wonder Years took place in the midwest someplace or maybe in the Atlantic states. Tonight's episode about going to the conservatory shows the bus travelling through the desert. Did it ever state where the series took place?

Actually, I think I've read that TWY was supposed to be based in California. Of course, it's "everytown, USA," but the mountains in the background, and the weather, have led many to believe it's California.

Which is ironic, since that's where it's filmed. :)
