What are you talking about? The new host will be announced soon for the fall shows. As of now Bob Barker's rerun shows will air throughout the summer.

Fremantle and CBS will announce Bob Barker's successor real soon. I still believe it will be Todd Newton, because he has experience hosting TPIR Live in Las Vegas, attending tapings of the show and taking notes on the show. Forget everyone else, Todd Newton has the most experience and knowledge of The Price is Right of all potential hosts to succeed Bob Barker. Clearly, he's ready to take the reigns as host of the show. However, it will be Fremantle and CBS that will have the final say as to whom Bob's successor will be.

The repeats may continue longer(into October), but there will be a new host...

Yes, this show will continue Harper - just with a new host.

Who would you like to see follow Bob Barker as host?

Cancel it.....this tired show has been on life support for at least 15 years, IMO

Out of the question. If TPIR survived 35 years with Bob Barker at the helm, it will go on longer with a successor, whom has experience with the show. As long as the viewers continue to tune in to watch, the show must go on.

Bob Barker and his fans were the only thing keeping this show going, the games are tired ( and the new ones are just re-hashes of old games ) and the models have all become clones of each other ( Barker's Stepford Wives ), its seriously time to put this tired old show out of its misery! ( "Nurse, do you have the syringe ready?" :p )

That's your perogative and I greatly disagree with you. I don't think you're a fan of the show. Say whatever you want, but both Fremantle and CBS have already decided the show will go on, with a succeeding host. If you don't like it, that's your problem, live with it.

Although it is a great show, it should end as Bob Barker retires. 35 years is long enough. This would be a great oppurtunity to create a new game show with a new host.

Maybe change the title, but not really cancel it.

Exactly, why have a brand new person do the same exact thing bob did and operate under the same title. It's a New era and it's Time for a Change

I really hope the Price Is Right continues. When is Bob Barker retiring anyway? Has he already? I plan to watch it today at 2:30pm on CBS, but is it a rerun or not?

Reruns through the summer, but The Price is Right will continue with a succeeding host, and it's up to us, the viewers to give the next host a chance to do the show, his way(Forget about Rosie O'Donnell-she would only destroy the show).

Yes he has - the last show with Bob aired last week.

I honestly haven't watched the show in decades. I got dizzy watching all those big boobs bounce around on the way up to the stage. Its a wonder poor Bob never got clubbed in the head by one of them! ;)

You could probably pick it up somewhere on the web. Unfortunately there really wasn't much special about it. Solomon and I were surprised they didn't do something "different" to mark the occasion.

It was just a normal show, nothing about the last ep gave you this is bob's last show type of feel. You only got that feel when at the end when he said goodbye

Ummm....its hardly a "problem" i simply wont watch...actually, i DID watch this show, almost religiously, at one time, but, the show got old and tired and I think it should die with dignity, before it goes out in shame , the way the Newlywed game ( for instance ) did. Besides, as at least one person said, this show wont work without Bob Barker, and i agree.

I don't think so Harper. There's even rumours that it might be Rosie O'Donnell hosting this show.

The Price is Right should end with Bob Barker, that is his legacy. A new Game Show should be created in its time slot.
