cool thread... i have much to say about the dissappointing lineup of TV Land
ahem...

GILLIGAN'S ISLAND
ahemm....
Dukes of Hazzard
more I Love Lucy and all the other shows she did
The Munsters
less Westerns (they're great... but after 20 hours of Bonanza i start to feel a little weird and begin to hallucinate)
I Dream Of Jeannie
Sanford and Son
M*A*S*H*
oh yeah... absolutely NO GUNSMOKE (i violently oppose the show that put GI off the air  )
All in the Family
THe Beverly HIllbillies
Bewitched
Golmer Pyle
The Andy Griffith Show
those are just a few...
but rest assured, to begin my career as the person in charge of the shows on TV Land... there would be a 48 marathon featuring my favorite castaways... cuz, i can be just a tad biased in that neck of the islands....

:D

really though... i can only watch tv land when i'm on vacation... and they really need to widen the tv shows they show!!!

oh, i forgot to say Green Acres also!;)

Many Loves of Dobie Gillis

Mary Tyler Moore Show

Rhoda

Phyllis

Lou Grant

Hawaii Five-O

Some of these shows that we've mentioned are just lying in vaults somewhere under mothballs. Why not give the viewers what they want??

Hm, let's see:
I Love Lucy
Happy Days
Brady Bunch
Laverne & Shirley
Mork & Mindy
The Donna Reed Show
The Dick Van Dyke Show
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
The Monkees
Bonanza
The Real McCoys
Taxi
Gilligan's Island
WKRP in Cincinnati
ALF
Family Ties
Dennis the Menace
Car 54 Where Are You?
That Girl
The Carol Burnett Show
Make Room for Daddy
My Two Dads
Just the Ten of Us
Rhoda
Mr. Ed
The Facts of Life

I think that's a lot of shows...some of them aren't favorites, but I know I wouldn't mind watching them and that others would love to see them. I know some are still on TV Land, but I feel they need to remain. There's probably a lot more I wouldn't mind putting on there like adding Golden Girls, Golden Palace, Empty Nest, and Nurses, but they are less important or I just can't think of them right now.
I would shy away from shows that are on other channels so there can be more variety out there.

Anything different that they haven't already ran through their rotation 19485636294 times. And stuff I don't already have. Some good 70s dramas. And Route 66. Even at 3am...I don't care! That's why I have 4 VCRs.

^ Gee, Mike, why don't you tell us what you want to see on TV Land?? ;) Btw, when does Season 4 come on DVD? I haven't heard a thing about it.

Has anyone mentioned F Troop? How about the Irwin Allen shows - Lost in Space, Land of the Giants, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Time Tunnel, etc.? Those would be a lot of fun to watch.

Thank you, Walking Tall. I think I might add some shows like Mr. Belvedere that I haven't seen in a long time and want to watch again. My programming would have much variety. Oh, yes, I would add The Patty Duke Show and Leave It to Beaver (because my dad likes it).

I haven't heard any news on when Sony is going to release season 4, Monika. I'm really surprised that we haven't heard something in regards to it yet. I really thought that it would come out sometime this summer. Sony does tend to be rather slow when it comes to releasing TV DVDs though.

Sony is the CHAMPION of slow releases. I want to see Season 3 of Family, Season 4 of FOL, and had to wait upteen months to hear they are releasing Season 5 of Bewitched July 10th. What is with these people?? ohno: If I'm not mistaken, the first three seasons of FOL have been major sellers.

At least they aren't Universal. They are notorious for releasing Season one and quitting. pissed:

Yeah, Sony does take their good sweet time in releasing their DVD sets. At the rate they are going, the ninth and final season of FOL will arrive just in time for my 40th birthday in 2016.
